The Purpose-Driven Model: Tips for Making It Work ©
Hello, I read the tips for making the purpose driven model work by Russ Adcox-- are you saying now that its alright because I've sent your site to many people that was caught up in this mess and now for them to read this is like telling them well maybe my Pastor is not working with Satan. You showed me how the seeker friendly approach got started (Rockerfellow etc went back to Hitler to see how to gain control of money and people and the church took it over and thats a dangerous evil). So what is your take on what Russ Adcox is saying. I would like to know because I have more people to inform. Whats wrong with the pastors teaching Gods wisdom and not human wisdom? That is why the churches are stuck because you don't grow or change on human wisdom. Its God's wisdom which makes us change and grow. Your site has been great so far. Please don't let Satan work you to think Russ Adcox has a point. No, we are not saying that Russ Adcox's experience with the Purpose Driven scheme is ok. Russ has imported his views back to his home town and has virtually destroyed a church all prepared for the GIANT STEP after the nominal 10 years of preparation by Promise Keepers, Jubilee (still looking for the atonement) and now the Purpose drive cult. We will show that it is part of the Global church's goal of making one huge MOTHER CHURCH after which all discussion of anti-Christ and anti-Bible views will be silenced. It is modelled after the PURPOSES of Machiavelli and Hitler who had a Volkish state all prepared form him by religionists.
You should understand that Russ Adcox is pretty much "universalists" as far as the opposed views taught by true and false religionists. Russ is quite happy to support a Baptist who makes a career out telling Jesus, The Bible and most of recorded history that they are LIARS about Baptism. The other option is that it is much easier to become top gun if you deny the warnings of Jesus and Paul that if you are WORD centered you will be despised and rejected of men. His own ecumenical charity would never be returned by any other group: they affirm Russ because Russ affirms them. He therefore could never teach the truth about any of the Baptists views. In fact, the Believer's Baptism is an ancient pagan belief that you were WASHED to prove that you are CLEAN. If we were not charitable we might conclude that he just has no Faith-Based principles.
Having sown massive discord and left town, Russ has latched onto another divided and divisive group and promotes the Purpose Driven Cult and confesses that instruments are not condemned: this is the usual prelude to slowly adding instruments AFTER the non instrumental members have procured him what they call a "theater for holy entertainment." Russ is flat terminal ignorant about the Bible or is terminally evil.

"Of particular interest is the way that early modern playwrights, music theorists, and theater apologists addressed this conflated language of the "enemy," by echoing the same connections between sexuality and playing found in the most virulent antitheatrical tracts. "As this paper will demonstrate, by "playing" with the conflated language, these writers defended their art, justifying their existence in a society that was both seduced and repulsed by them. By claiming the polemical antitheatrical language, these players escaped from the ideological margins to which their opponents had tried to relegate them.Using the artifices of mimesis (imitation) and comedy they pointed out and--
-defused their opponents' anxieties about music, theater, and sexuality,
creating a space for players in the cultural mainstream."

"I still believe that with a proactive leadership and the right church context, the model can be effectively implemented into an existing congregation." |
From the same resource, Charles Arn, the Father of the Church Growth Cult wrote:"People, by nature, tend to resist change. Consequently, how you introduce a new idea in your church will greatly affect whether it is eventually adopted. Do not assume that the idea will be naturally accepted on its obvious merits. It will not. In fact, you are much safer (and more likely to be correct) in assuming that the idea will be resisted. People are allergic to change."
Jesus Christ died to remove the burden and the burden laders. The burden is "spiritual anxiety created by religious rituals." The REST means to relax, cool it. The Sabbath as a day of REST quarantined the Jews from Babylonian Sabbath worship. There, the god's agents RESTED while the people WORKED including singing, dancing, playing instruments and having sex with the god's AGENTS.
The Lord's Day is our day of rest. There is no NEED to make changes if the church is obeying the commands of God. Those who introduce changes just to suck in members create spiritual anxiety and make BIBLE STUDY as the only true worship word used by Paul impossible. All believers stand on an equal footing and no HIRELING should presume to plan my ever waking hour. Jesus fired them.
It might come as a surprise to CHANGE AGENTS that the PEOPLE are the church. There is no higher authority than the Word of God. However, they (who are christs and apostles for THEIR church) decide to MAKE THEM knuckle under and accept OUR seeker-sensitive plan stolen from Apollo (Abaddon, Apollon) at the Oracle of Delphi.
Rubel Shelly appeals to Machiavelli to explain why it takes so long for US to change YOU into submission. Of course, Hitler best explains the CHANGE PROCESS where the "intellectual leaders" mobilize the "human material" to carry out OUR purpose driven cult.
Machiavelli Prince Ch3-Ch6-Ch7
For comparison we will note some of Hitler's message about how to organize the "human" material (emotional) to be used by the elite (the rational) with music being important:
Hitler: Völkish State: Supporters (emotional) and Leaders (Intellectual) This compares Promise Keepers to the Volkish view which led to Naziism.
Mein Kampf Vol 2, Ch5, Ch8, Ch11
Richard Wagner was the Musical Worship Minister to Hitler. His purpose is explained by the Pink Swastika as a drug and homosexual brotherhood.
All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest. Isaiah 56:9
His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Isaiah 56:10
Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter. Isaiah 56:11
Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant. Isaiah 56:12
Carrol D. Osburn: ACU: "Feminist hermeneutics stands over against patriarchal hermeneutics" its goal achieved "by small, often unnoticed acts of SUBVERSION. Numerous such incremental changes, like EROSION, will eventually bring down the FORTRESS " ( p. 32).See how the DOVE repudiated the FEMINIST religion of Inanna (Ishtar, ZOE): God is defined as FATHER and not Mother Goddess of above. Jesus as the IMAGE of God was identified as a SON.

Review: The Community Church Denomination
This is important since Lynn Anderson is promoting a SHEPHERDING ELDERS MOVEMENT. This was used just before Oak Hills and others involved added instruments.
Now, with that background, we will review (by request) Russ Adcox take on the Purpose Driven Cult. Unfortunately, the INFILTRATE and DIVERT got into trouble with too much youthful inthusiasm for the local Church of God
Russ Adcox modifying a SCHEM OF A SCAM to which he has no right to SLICK into a church so that they don't feel the sting until too late. Nevertheless, normal people just flee with their hair standing up on the back of their necks when the effeminate praise songs begin to try to MAKE LOVE to Jesus. Music DOES produce the effects of FIGHT, FLIGHT and or SEXUALITY: just a DRUG (morphine) high with NO spiritual connection to the Bible or to normal Christianity:
Russ Adcox: You have all heard the story by now. . . . In 1980 a young seminar graduate named Rick Warren moved to Southern California and began the Saddleback Community Church. Today that church is the second largest attended church in the U.S. with over 15,000 attending each weekend. Over 1 million copies of Warren's book, The Purpose Driven Church, have been distributed and over 150,000 church leaders have participated in the Purpose-Driven Church Serninar. 1
As a result of this enormous popularity, many churches have begun implementing the model, hoping that it will produce the same results in their congregation.
Read an article from the FUNDAMENTAL BAPTIST VIEW:
"The cartoon showed a picture of two boys standing on a riverbank debating whether or not they would join the throng of people floating downstream in inner tubes. One boy wanted to join the crowd. The other boy was reluctant. He asked his friend, "Where will this river take us?" His friend replied, "What does it matter? Everyone is going that way."
THAT IS THE PROPHECY OF THE END-TIME BABYLON HARLOT CHURCH.
Max Lucado has sold over 28 million copies but that doesn't mean that he believes and teaches the Bible as it has been taught. He has yanked Christ off the church sign, declared his church the Mother Church and plans to use the PROMISE KEEPERS SHEPHERDING which is a take off of Crossroadism and the International church of Christ. Lynn Anderson is the facilitator of Shepherding in San Antonio. See Rubel Shelly's Accountability groups. Max Lucado claims that neither faith, repentance, confession or baptism has any role to play in salvation. In that, he calles Lord Jesus Christ a liar. In fact, all of Russ Adcox's mentors repudiate baptism and plan to infiltrate and divert peacable churches of Christ into another demonination. In doing so they violate fiduciary responsibility and play the BAIT and SWITCH: collecting monies under one understanding while planning to divert the money. That may be criminal.
These are people, recognize that THEIR CHURCHING, is a failure and the huge incomes they DEMAND can not be justified without numerical growth and lots of charismatic heresy as BUSY WORK. Knowing that the INTERNET has replaced non-teaching CLERGY just as Gutenberg's press obsoleted many of them, they are CALLING ON THE ROCKS to fall on them to feel comfortable until the agents of God come to burn them up.
People OF THE WORLD who REJECT the conusel of God by rejecting Baptism become as MUCH LIKE THE WORLD AS POSSIBLE to win the World (Rubel Shelly)
As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. Ga.6:12
People like the ZOE GROUP intends to LIGHT THE FIRES which means from hell. Ken Cukrowski, Mark Hamilton, and James Thompson endorsed by ACU, Money, are calling for God's Holy Fire and they undoubtely will make it come.
But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. 2 Tim 3:9
But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 2 Tim 3:10
The PURPOSE of Purpose Driven is a PARIDIGM SHIFT (a new patternism) to repudiate PAUL'S purpose. They have decided that the epistles are not authority for faith and practice, turned back to the "gospel" accounts and they repudiate the PURPOSE of Paul. In the same way, those who rejected the purpose of God for their lives, refused to be baptized and were marked as treacherous infidels.
Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 2 Tim 3:11
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2 Tim 3:12
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 2 Tim 3:13
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 2 Tim 3:14
Both Peter and Paul declared that the delivered Word had been spoken by Christ, witnessed by them and recorded for our "remembrance." They both identify a MARK by which we can identify Satanic false teachers: If they refused to speak what has been spoken it is because there is no truth in them.
And the PERSECUTERS shall be of thine own house and from among the elders.
Russ Adcox: However, many are finding that it is not as effective as they had hoped. The difficulties lie in the fact that, unlike Saddleback,
these churches are trying to implement the model into long-standing congregations with mature memberships.
If Russ meant spiritually mature then he couldn't do what he has done to the mature who know more Bible. What he means is expressed by one of the elders saying "I don't care how many grey hairs leave" or something to that effect.
Their new somewhat Baptist-Charismatic believes that their NEW PARADIGM is God-given to destroy thos who rest on THEIR HERITACE or old traditionalism. They cannot and will not refute the fact that they lie, lie, lie about the basis for churches of Christ.
The MANTRA of all of the change agents is that YOUR old church and doctrine (pro-baptism, against choirs and instrumental music and pro Bible teaching rather than being a THEATER FOR HOLY ENTERTAINMENT) is just your old HERITAGE as the local preacher imported by Russ says. But being trained by once Christian colleges who adopt the BAPTIST and Christian church's agenda, they truly believe that they can repudiate the clear teachings about Baptism by making Zwingli (1525) their Savior through "believer's baptism" which is pagan baptism.
Russ Adcox: This presents far more difficulties than implementing the model within a newly-planted church made up almost entirely of new converts. As a result, many established churches find themselves disappointed and frustrated with the Purpose-Driven model.
Since they worship at the Golden Calf of consumerism and believe the Holy Spirit speaks through book sales, evangelicals have readily accepted Rick Warren as the presiding archbishop of church growth and Christian experience. There is an uncontrollable urge to get everyone on the same boat. Apparently, when enough people read PDL there will be some kind of harmonic convergence, all our churches will turn into mega-churches, and we will all float up to the mothership. Internet Monk

Rubel Shelly and all of the merry band deliberately try to DISSOCIATE or drive you into schizophrenia by making YOU believe that YOU are ignorant brother killers for refusing to affirm instruments after 2,000 years of NOT using instruments which belong only to perverted paganism.
Machiavelli, used by Rubel Shelly, says that if you decide to become PRINCE of a foreign country you face the problem CHANGING those who think that they have the law on their side. You can pray for them or you can kill them. Since prayer rarely works, they say, you will have to use force. And assuredly assuming authority and radicalizing a peacable church is VIOLENT force. You can never know what they WOULD do to get money.
Russ Adcox: However, I believe that this model can be effective in an established church. I believe this because I have seen it done. In 1997 my congregation (the Southwest Church of Christ) began implementing the Purpose-Driven model. This model brought a renewed focus on God's purposes for our church and we immediately began working to better accomplish these purposes. Within two years our church experienced growth in both attendance and conversions. We also witnessed increased commitments to membership maturity and community outreach.
However, we did discover -- sometimes painfully -- that implementation of the model in an existing church with an established culture is a different process from the one Warren's describes in his book.
It was my impression after moving back ten years ago that SOUTHWEST sent cold chills to our church. It not only invited PROMISE KEEPERS which all of the literate "grey hairs" knew was a cult sucking in weaklings into a form of the Baptist church. Working with Jubilee sent more sowing of discord and the Purpose Driven Cult got its stard before Russ arrived on the scene.
Russ Adcox: Implementing the Purpose-Driven model in an established church is not an easy task. Successful implementation requires paradigm shifts and changes that many church leaders are not willing to make. Even if the leadership is ready to make these changes, they often find a membership that is reluctant and unwilling.
The simple truth is that many churches of Christ who choose to implement this model will experience frustrations and difficulties. However I still believe that with a proactive leadership and the right church context, the model can be effectively implemented into an existing congregation. At Southwest we learned this the hard way. Perhaps these six tips will save your church some of our frustrations.
Is this one of those CHURCH OF CHRIST problems? The best way to shame churches of Christ into singing and dancing to the golden calf is to make the THINK that everything including bad breath is a church of Christ problem.
Internet Monk I'm simply tired of the church growth "movement" (the name "cult" is getting more appealing all the time) being such an obnoxious, juvenile presence in Christianity. With all the subtlety of a mob of rampaging Herbalife dealers, the church growth movement has arrived and forced us to think about nothing but their issues and agenda for the past ten plus years. I'm tired of it. When are they going to shut up? When are they going stop telling all of us to be like them?
Of course, as long as evangelical pastors keep lapping up whatever comes down the pipeline promising to make them the next big church and the next big thing, we will never hear the end of it. Warren will overtake Barth with his multi-volume "Purpose Driven Dogmatics." Soon, any church without Powerpoint, a band and a Cappuccino bar will be closed by order of the government.
Meanwhile, waiting in the wings, Beth Moore works on her study Bible, and Henry Blackaby tries on those papal garments. The Purpose Driven Mothership awaits.
Again, the antics of Southwest has troubled Hohenwald and many churches of Christ for the ten years I have been back in retirement which has been "destroyed" by people who just cannot exist unless they are stealing some new PROGRAM because they lack the Biblical background to be elders. First, I believe, was SIGNING ON with Promise Keepers which is a Phallic version of the Baptist Church. Indeed, Southern Baptists are recognized as a DISTINCTLY AMERICAN RELIGION, purely Gnostic and having NO connection to historic Christianity. The Jubilee under Max Lucado, Don Finto, Rubel Shelly and Steve Flatt was the next SOWER OF DISCORD and heresy. Next, comes the Purpose Driven Cult.
See the Southern Baptists as the NEW PARADIGM defined.
It reminds me of a kid who comes to get a job at an engineering firm. Everyone in the firm has a degree from an accredited engineering school hanging on the wall. So in walks the kid, and asks for a job. When asked for his qualifications, he pulls out a manuscript from his backpack. "How To Be An Engineer," it says on the title page. "I wrote it myself!", he proudly announces.
One must wonder, what is the agenda of liberals in being devoted to the idea of stripping Christianity of the consensus of its history and remaking it i
nto something literally unrecognizable to ANY significant person in the history of Christian orthodoxy?
Liberal Christians act as if it is entirely pedestrian to destroy the foundations and collapse the structure, but keep the sign out front. They feel the reaction of traditional Christians is overblown, needlessly exclusive, and of course, unloving. Nothing is more predictable from liberal Christians than the charge that any critic is attacking their "faith." As one wise man said, "Don't hate the playa. Hate the game." Liberal Christians are playing a game of "Bait and Switch" with the most valuable treasure of truth in the universe.
The problem is that liberals are seldom ever bothered by anything the Bible says. They feel little accountability to scripture at all, and usually don't see the need to judge their assertions in the light of scripture. No matter how many times the New Testament talks about the very things they are doing, or commands Christians to contend for the very things they are denying, they can only say that traditionalists are hateful and nasty. It seems that nothing in scripture is precious enough for liberals to understand our defensive emotions, but if their rights to free thought or their contention that conscience is authoritative are challenged, the reaction will be predictably angry.
Why should people feel so SUPERIOR just because they, wanting to be ecumenical (Lucado and the Global Church) are SEDUCED by a COACH into pledging allegience to the BAPTIST CREED? I wouldn't want to brag about being TAKEN CAPTIVE as a spin off of PK 96 where everyone seems to have completed their phallic journey and developed relationships with those INTENDING TO TAKE THEIR CHURCH thicker than the blood of Jesus.

What Russ etal think of as the OLD PATTERNISM about baptism was actually the PARADIGM which no one can SHIFT without calling Jesus Christ a liar for promissing that SALVATION or REMISSION of sins occurs ONLY at baptism.
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Rom 6:3
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like (exactly g 5618 osper) as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Rom 6:4
For if we have been planted together in the likeness (resemblance) of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Rom 6:5
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. Rom 6:6
For he that is dead is freed from sin. Rom 6:7
But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Rom 6:17
Tupos (g5179) too'-pos; from 5180; a die (as struck), i.e. (by impl.) a stamp or scar; by anal. a shape, i.e. a statue, (fig.) style or resemblance; spec. a sampler ("type"), i.e. a model (for imitation) or instance (for warning): - en- (ex-) ample, fashion, figure, form, manner, pattern, print.
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern (Tupos g5179 shewed to thee in the mount. Heb.8:5
Neither as being lords over Gods heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. 1Pe.5:3
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 1Pe.3:21
Antitupon (g499) an-teet'-oo-pon; neut. of a comp. of 473 and 5179; corresponding ["antitype"], i.e. a representative, counterpart: - (like) figure (whereunto).
Anti (g473) an-tee'; a prim. particle; opposite, i.e. instead or because of (rarely in addition to): - for, in the room of. Often used in composition to denote contrast, requital, substitution, correspondence, etc.
The PARADIGM SHIFT was not really a shift: Russ and all of his truly anti-Bible mentors have declared that baptism is NOT required. Why, what is your Biblical proof? I don't NEED Biblical proof.
The other paradigm shift which is just being a DITTO HEAD of their leaders is to REMOVE the name of Christ off their buildings and consciousness.
And still another is that "there's nothing wrong with choirs and instrumental music." Now, that is some shift since the Bible almost begins with the SERPENT as the Musical Enchanter, in Paul's words, "Wholly seducing Eve" as one is seduced before marriage. For that reason, Cain (from a 'musical note') is OF that wicked one. He is the father of those who HANDLE (meaning without authority) musical instruments. Sure, they could even steal the houses of widows. Furthermore, Jesus cast out the musical minstrels, more or less violently as one EJECTS DUNG. No wonder the flute-girls (prostitutes) were regulated by those who regulated the DUNG HEAP and CEMETARY.
The PARADIGM SHIFT is defined as Postmodernism which uses Narrative Theology to MAKE UP their own version of truth. Rubel Shelly uses the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle promoted by all postmodern thinkers (?). They all make fun of PATTERNISM such as commands, examples and inferences not knowing that the Bible and most historic scholars have recognized that God has the RIGHT to impose rules. The detest PATTERNS and have substituted the scholarly word PARADIGM. Webster notes:
Paradigm to show by the side of, to set up as an example; beside + to show. See {Para-}, and {Diction}.] 1. An example; a model; a PATTERN. [R.] ``The paradigms and patterns of all things.'' --Cudworth.
So, when they make fun of your old PATTERNS and claim that you need a PARADIGM SHIFT they are telling you that they want you to adopt THEIR PATTERNISM. How did this SHIFT take place?
Science knows that you cannot SHOOT one electron at another electro without making if CHANGE POSITION or even turn into a WAVE. Now, you can stack a million atoms across a human hair and the electron is almost infinitely smaller than the atom. Shelly among the Philosophers claims that you cannot SHOOT your evolved eyes at a scroll Jesus may have read without CHANGING the meaning. Therefore, ALL TRUTH vanished from the B.M. (Before Me) period. YOU cannot find NEW TRUTH but Shelly says that as a COMMUNE OR COMMUNITY you can PARTNER with God and work out a new set of TRUTHS for your culture which Christ the Spirit apparently didn't anticipate.
Here is the paradigm shift Russ Adcox approves;
"Only the necessary task of rethinking the church in its Scriptural context will enable us to distinguish between the Biblical notion of the church and the institutions today that pose as churches. In this connection, let us briefly isolate some of the differences between the Biblical and the institutional paradigms:
The Institutional Paradigm Read more about the Church Circles using the same witch-speak as neo-paganism:
Is sustained by a clergy system
Seeks to energize the laity
Renders the bulk of its congregants passive-in-their-pews [See Hitler below who agrees]
Associates church with a building or a denomination that one joins
Is rooted in unifying those who share a special set of customs or doctrines
Thrusts "ordinary" Christians out of the holy of holies and chains them to a pew
Places its priority on religious programs while keeping its congregants at arms-length, insulating them from one another
Spends most of its resources on building expenditures and pastor-staff salaries
Operates on the basis that the pastor/priest is the functional head (while Christ is the nominal head)
Enshrines and protects the clergy-dominated, program-centered system that serves as the driving machine of the organized church
Builds programs to fuel the church and views people as mere cogs in the machine
Encourages believers to participate institutionally
Separates church (ecclesiology) from personal salvation (soteriology), viewing the former as a mere appendage to the latter
"Rick Warren is well known as the pioneer of The Purpose-Driven Church paradigm for church health. More than 250,000 pastors and church leaders from over 125 countries have attended Purpose-Driven Church seminars in 18 languages. Peter Drucker calls him "the inventor of perpetual revival." Rick's previous book, The Purpose-Driven Church, has sold over a million copies in 20 languages. Winner of the Gold Medallion Ministry Book of the Year, it is used as a textbook in most seminaries, and was selected as one of the 100 Christian Books That Changed the 20th Century."[4]
Well, Rick Warren simply confiscated the WILLOW CREEK model subscribed to by Rubel Shelly's church.
Notice the reference to Peter Drucker. What this communitarian management guru began teaching large corporations decades ago has now been applied to God's churches as well as to communities and governments around the world. Since the new methods seemed to "work" equally well for churches as for corporations -- and since the measured results offer statistical "proof" of "success" -- pastors around the world have embraced and implemented Drucker's marketing approach to "doing church."
If you will read Rubel Shelly's sermons you will discover that the Exodus is the patternism for modern church worship and community. It is no accident because the CHANGE AGENDA was developed to help organize people into COMMUNES.
In a 2002 article in Business Week titled "Peter Drucker's Search for Community," Ken Witty describes the world view that drives Drucker's plans and purpose:
"He brings a communitarian philosophy to his consulting.... He said that what he's all about is this search for community, the search for where people and organizations find community for noneconomic satisfaction....
Jesus Christ promised to build an ekklesia or synagogue which is a SCHOOL of the Bible. In the synagogue people lacked their own copy of the Bible and therefore met on the Sabbath and other days to HEAR THE WORD read and not to WORSHIP in the normal pagan sense of the word. People have their own lives to lead and are not HITLER FODDER or HUMAN MATERIAL to be used and abused by a clergy system. The Lord's Supper was one of those TEACHING or showing forths. People prayed their own prayers other than a fixed part of Scripture used as a common prayer. The Word was read: there was no singing, instruments or superstitious praise service in the synagogue or early church. They READ or SPOKE the portion of Scripture in a metrical form so that the DISCIPLES who came to the common meeting could MEMORIZE and learn the Biblical metrical material.
Like most people, they looked out for one another but there was no COMMUNITY to which they belonged like the Rubel Shelly COMMUNE. Of Peter Drucker:
"A lot of his ideas have become so accepted that it's hard for anyone to understand how original they were at the time he introduced them. It's sort of like Freud and psychoanalysis. Peter was the first, for example, to help managers understand that they had to define their businesses from a customer's perspective."[5]
See the BRAIN WASHING concept.
The intentional process of radical social change demands continual tension or crisis. These may be spontaneous or manufactured. This book helped lay the foundation for the psycho-social strategies that have transformed education and culture around the world. Adapt the Model to Fit Your Context
Russ Adcox: On at least four different occasions Rick Warren strongly warns against duplicating Saddleback's model in an established congregation (27, 66 - 71, 179 - 180, 248). 2 As he explains: "You might be tempted to copy things we did without considering our context. Please do not do this! Instead, look beneath the methods to see the transferable principles on which they are based." 3
Russ is supporting the PRINCIPLES which intend to turn "church" into entertainment so that little souls never hear anything rational or disturbing. What matters the METHODS if the principles HAVE BEEN transferred to the sowing of massive discord and offend dozens of the children of Christ.
The transferable principles are still the SAME purpose driven cult cut and fitted for easier insertion into the belly of the church:
Michael Spenser: On the other hand, Warren has come to represent everything nauseating about the current fevered state of the church growth movement. A purveyor of endless lists, principles and "must-do's to be normal," Warren is the pope of evangelical church growth expertise. And the more books he sells, the more authoritarian his tone. Warren will soon be telling us how God instructed him in painting the bathrooms at Saddleback Valley an airy blue rather than a school-room green. "Purpose Driven" is now a tattoo offered at Lifeway Stores everywhere. Looks great across the chest.
According to Warren, the Christian life is a baseball game where you get saved, join a church, get involved in a ministry and go on a mission trip. Whooo-hooo. So many pastors and authors have said this sort of thing before that you would need an encyclopedia to list them all. (But, of course, they didn't have "Purpose Driven" in the title. Hmmmm...) Southern Baptists have been talking like this for most of a century, but not with the muffin-esque mug of Rick Warren on the box. The trick now is to act like you've never heard the ABCs of the Christian life before Rick came up with them. Advance reports are that Rick's next book, The Purpose Driven Pastor, will recommend brushing your teeth after every meal.
Russ Adcox: Warren should have devoted an entire chapter to this principle because it is often overlooked. In the initial steps of implementation Southwest ignored this important point.
One example was having our members sign a "membership commitment" following the 101 sermon series and class.
While this idea works well within the context of the Saddleback Church, we quickly learned that it did not fit our context.
The pity is not that the members refused to play the game: the pity is that a Christian would try to exercise such control. The LORD'S church has no member who can require an OATH from a lesser member. The covenant would affirm that they people AGREE with the "leader's" teaching of the Purpose Driven classes.
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. James 5:11
But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. James 5:12
Omnuo (g3660) om-noo'-o; a prol. form of a prim. but obsol. omo, for which another prol. form ( omooÑ om-o'-o) is used in certain tenses; to swear, i.e. take (or declare on) oath: - swear
But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Matt 5:37
While it might work well within churches made up of those in agreement, the taking of oaths and signing covenants is an anti-Christian activity. Christians simply will not affirm the dominant leadership of elders.
See the trial baloon at Madison: the Saddleback Cult Agreement
See how the Covenant of Purpose Driven demands the ANTI-CHRIST tithe. From Madison
"VOWS and OATHS. The New Testament teaching from our Lord Himself is that we should say "yes" or "no", but NOT vow or make an oath! Christians should not make "covenants" which require vows or oaths or sacred promises, according to our Lord's instructions. See Matthew 5:34-37. When we speak we should speak as sincere men and women of God, whose word is honourable, so we do not have to bind ourselves in any way with vows or oaths or sacred promises, "for whatever is more than these cometh of evil." II Corinthians 2:17.
Covenants assume a HIGHER AUTHORITY within the church to which you can SWEAR!
DO NOT sign or make any covenants, oaths, promises or vows (In a Christian context)
"Our Lord came to deal with the human heart, where as the Mosaic Law allowed oaths as safe-guards against the dishonesty of the man under Law, who had not experienced the new birth into the new creation. Jesus Christ forbids oaths or vows altogether in the New Testament, by so doing He thus accomplished the real purpose of the Law.
The Christian Chronicle has been the facilitating organ of the hostile take over of "conservative" churches of Christ. Any recent graduate is probably approve of music and deny baptism.
"Currently the best known expression of the Community Church is the model of Bill Hybels out of Barrington, Illinois, near Chicago called The Willow Creek Community Church. However, a Baptist preacher named Rick Warren while denying cloning Willow Creek has built The Saddleback Community Church in Orange County, California, which closely parallels Willow Creek, and has written a more understandable guide for duplicating the Community Church entitled The Purpose Driven Church.
These are denominational churches loosely affiliated with the group from which they came which merely have shrouded themselves with the name "Community Church." The cardinal rule among them is to appear non-traditional. They are characterized by a casual dress code, "contemporary" music, non-distinctive public speeches which endeavor to focus the attention of the assembly on a celebration-type atmosphere, inter-denominational acceptance, small group organization, personal testimonies, praise teams, and in their inception stages a brazen acceptance of financial support from churches they intend to take over.
No one can teach heresy and become so popular among the strange people without having a supernatural AGENT indwell and make him rich and famous. Truth speakers ALWAYS suffer persecution because Satan has many more "ministers" than God. Their job is to rob you of the Word of God by putting rhetorical and musical mediators between you and God. Why would alert and literate people fall into such a juvenile plan to fool the fools?
Russ Adcox: Since that time, we have learned to consider each aspect of the model more carefully and, when necessary, restructure to fit our context.
This is easier said than done. The model's rigid organization and deceptive simplicity tempt churches to force it. Consequently many leaders end up restructuring their church to fit within the context of the model. This is a grave error because the context of the Purpose-Driven model is foreign to most established churches.
Meaning Biblical Literate and mature.
Rick Warren implemented the model in a new church, made up entirely of new converts, in the fastest growing county in the U.S. Unless your church has the same context, the model will have to be adapted.
Do not change your church to fit the model. Instead, carefully adapt the model to fit your church's unique context.
This is why many churches lusting to follow Rick rather than Jesus follow the postmodern scam to drive away the troublemakers after collecting their cash. Then, with sympathetic "audiences" they can collect their denominational friends around to POSE as members to carry out the scam. This leaves them with illiterate members who can assuredly be led into heresy faster than life-long members and OWNERS of the now-stolen building.
This is deceptively simple but nevertheless deceptive. If the purpose driven cult's MODEL is infiltrated into the church's context a church of CHRIST has to be radically changed. The goal is to think that you can pull the wool over people while aggressively trying to dominate by fellowshipping and leading the youth into the Church of God patternism.
You cannot import a preacher who did not believe what he preached and accepted CASH, call in many of the charismatic friends to have him lie about how women were mistreated, engage in women-led collective prayers, stimulate the women and effeminate into waving their hands without RADICALLY trying to INFILTRATE and DIVERT. Some marriages probably won't survive this hostile invasion even as they call in a gury to save marriages.
Do Not Rush the Implementation Process
Russ Adcox: At one point in the book, Warren clearly warns against rushing the "discovery process." 4 This same advice can be applied to every aspect of the Purpose-Driven model. The bottom line is that the implementation of the model takes time. Our church is nearly four years into the model and only 50 percent has been implemented. While this may sound slow, it is actually five times faster than the model's implementation at Saddleback. They are over twenty years into the model and only launched the 401 C.L.A.S.S. series within the last year.
Now, if they were not anti-biblical and anti-Christian they could just state the Biblical mandate for what "We gonna do to you." You would agree and there would be no danger of deliberately sowing discord and chasing off the grey hairs.
Antionio Gramsci: Post Modernism Defines Narrative Theology. It's focus is Rubel Shelly's COMMUNE model which is the meaning of COMMUNITY CHURCH with the Exodus as the new PATTERNISM for worship and community. The PURPOSE DRIVEN CULT CLAIMS THAT:
"God's raising up a new standard, a new banner, if you will, that's going to radically change the expression, the understanding of Christianity in our generation...God has invited us to have a role in establishing a new order of Christianity...
God is offering to this generation something He has never offered to any other generation...
beware lest old order brethren rob you and steal this hope from you." (Paul Cain, "You Can Become the Word!", 1989, Vineyard Prophetic Conference) (See Experiencing God to become new Christs)
"I think we're going to have another St. Valentine's Day massacre. I think Almighty God is going to rip open the hearts of our leaders. I think He's going to tear them open. And I THINK HE'S GOING TO PUT THEM BACK TOGETHER AGAIN.
AS ONE. ONE LEADERSHIP. WE'VE GOT TO HAVE ONE LEADERSHIP, ONE LEADERSHIP ONLY" (Bill McCartney, Promise Keepers, Detroit Silver Dome, April 29, 1995). From
The DISCOVERY PROCESS uses the Hegelian Dialectic (See Gramsci, Maciavelli, Hitler, Jung, Purpose Driven etal.)
Part of the discovery process is to take surveys. Some of them are published on the internet. They are deceptive lies. They know what THEIR goals for YOUR compliance long before the survey. The survey asks questions to evoke a positive answer which fits with the CHANGE AGENTS pre-planning. Therefore, it is very dishonest as are all of the steps.
"Here's how it works: A group gathers, and has agreed beforehand that each in attendance will ultimately surrender his or her own personal position on any given issue to the will or "consensus" of the group after *processing to consensus* through dialog. In a Christian setting, the presupposition is that the group's will determines "the will of God". The group's "facilitator", whoever that may be, mediates between sides, be they "good and evil", "for and against", "republican and democrat", "liberal and conservative", etc., whatever the case may be, often instigating heated confrontations between the opposing sides for the purpose of suggesting compromise as the perfect solution to restore and maintain the peace and the relationships of everyone involved. The resulting outcome or *consensus* is then re-introduced if necessary, at the next meeting for more "Praxis", more dialog and more compromise until another "consensus" is reached. Then the "process" repeats all over again...and again...and again until the facilitator's desired outcome is achieved. Over time, the convictions and concerns anyone may have had originally are processed away beyond recognition or relevance leaving one and all to accept the facilitator's pre-determined outcome as the consensus of the group. It's no longer a question of what is right or wrong, good or bad, lawful or unlawful, but rather HOW WE ALL FEEL ABOUT IT...no absolutes, no conscience, no convictions, no laws, no Constitution, no Bible and NO GOD!!!...only consensus....and a contrived consensus at that. Pretty slick huh? That's the Hegelian Dialectic. Resource
Many elderships work under that DOMINANT ELDER scheme or scam. The can CLAIM that "all of the elders" reject baptism and ALL of the elders approve of instrumental music.
Michael Spenser: In "Forty Days of Purpose," we all buy the same book, and go through the ABCs together. Aside from being a rather sad testimony to the ineptness of the average pastor to convey anything of importance and the worsening ADD condition of the average church member, this is all fine, and I'm sure is helpful to many people. The time spent going over Warren's principles is better than watching reruns of "Everybody Loves Raymond," but it's hardly the arrival of the Great Awakening. (Evangelicals now believe the Cane Ridge revival was 20,000 frenzied people reading the same book on church growth and Luther was nailing a list of worship choruses for the Saturday service on the church door.)
It is a fact that these lost souls don't plan to restore the first century church established by Jesus. They want to restore the church as it existed at Caneridge. But, Cane Ridge was a modern of ancient fire or devil worship. The lust for the Emerging Church of Christ indeed sould identical to modern witchcraft.
Russ Adcox: Not rushing the implementation process accomplishes several things. First, it allows church leaders to avoid senseless mistakes by giving them the time to process each step of the model's implementation. Second, it allows members the necessary time to understand and grasp the key concepts of the model.
Third, it gives the five basic principles of the Purpose-Driven model the needed time to grow and develop into effective ministries of the church. In the end, going slowly will prove to reduce many of the frustrations often associated with the model.
Not to say the Biblical heresy of the model.
Michael Spenser: In fact, this is the first time in a while I've heard book sales so openly touted as a way of measuring the work of the Holy Spirit. With a straight face, we are supposed to believe that the sudden, unprecedented interest in Warren's books is a major move of the Holy Spirit, directing all of us to get purpose-driven and Saddlebacked. And if you believe that, I've got some fine acreage in Mongolia you need to purchase today. The church-growth wackos are determined to eradicate any paltry congregations that attempt to ignore the pantheon of mega-pastors. From his perch at Pastors.com, Warren frequently intones the death knell for those who refuse to get jiggy with the seeker sensitive beat. Whatever.
Communicate Clearly and Continually Recast the Vision
Southwest's greatest mistake in implementation of the model was a failure to apply Warren's "Nehemiah Principle." This principle states, "Vision must be restated every twenty-six days to keep the church moving in the right direction." 5 Southwest failed to do this by letting too many other things get in the way of communicating the model. As a result, many members still lack a clear grasp of the model and its impact on our church.
Adolf Hitler. Chapter XI: Propaganda and Organization
After my entrance into the German Workers' Party, I at once took over the management of propaganda. I regarded this department as by far the most important.
For the present, it was less important to rack one's brains over organizational questions than to transmit the idea itself to a larger number of people.
Propaganda had to run far in advance of organization and provide it with the human material to be worked on. Moreover, I am an enemy of too rapid and too pedantic organizing. It usually produces nothing but a dead mechanism, seldom a living organization. For organization is a thing that owes its existence to organic life, organic development.
Ideas which have gripped a certain number of people will always strive for a greater order, and a great value must attributed to this inner molding. Here, too, we must reckon with the weakness of men,
which leads the individual, at first at least, instinctively to resist a superior mind.
If an organization is mechanically ordered from above, there exists a great danger that a once appointed leader, not yet accurately evaluated and perhaps none too capable, will from jealousy strive to prevent the rise of abler elements within the movement. The harm that arises in such a case can, especially in a young movement, be of catastrophic significance.
For this reason it is more expedient for a time to disseminate an idea by propaganda from a central point
and then carefully to search and examine the gradually gathering human material for leading minds. Sometimes it will turn out that men inconspicuous in themselves must nevertheless be regarded as born leaders.
But it would be absolutely mistaken to regard a wealth of theoretical knowledge as characteristic proof for the qualities and abilities of a leader.
The opposite is often the case.
The Nehemiah principle I am aware of is that he returned to Jerusalem to CAST OUT the enemy of the Jews who had moved into a plush apartment where the FOOD SUPPLY had been stored. Nehemiah also made the mistake of forming two clergy CHOIRS and MOUNTING the walls and marching around in TRIUMPH. They aroused the enemy and had to RETIRE from the building program for 16 years.
Russ Adcox: The importance of communicating the model clearly and often cannot be overemphasized. Understandable and up-front communication increases trust between members and leaders and clears up unnecessary confusion. Warren offers sound advice in this regard:
"Once you have defined the purposes of your church, you must continually clarify and communicate them to everyone in your congregation. It is not a task you do once and then forget about. This is the foremost responsibility of leadership. If you fail to communicate your statement of purpose to your members, you may as well not have one." 6
Paul authorized pointing out elders who were "already laboring to the point of exhaustion in preaching and teaching." These elders had ONE mandate: "to teach that which HAS BEEN TAUGHT" and to "refute those who oppose it."
'If you repeat a lie often enough, the public will believe it'. Herman Goebels
A grandson of Richard Wagner wrote about how all tyrants must make use of music.
"Richard Wagner was the unofficial court composer of the Third Reich. Adolf Hitler said that "Whoever wants to understand National Socialistic Germany must know Wagner." Hitler's appropriation of the Bayreuth Wagner Festival was to serve his own cultural propaganda purposes. Wagner was a cultural hero for Hitler and his Nazis.
"The strains of Wagner were played during the Nazis' book-burning ceremonies and when concentration camp prisoners were about to be put to death. Nazi Germany's main defense fortification was called the "Siegfried Line," after the mythic hero in Wagner's Ring of the Nibelung.
Adolf Hitler to the rescue again:
The finest theoretical insight remains without purpose and value if the leader does not set the masses in motion toward it. And conversely, of what avail would be all the genius and energy of a leader, if the brilliant theoretician did not set up aims for the human struggle?
However, the combination of theoretician, organizer, and leader in one person is the rarest thing that can be found on this earth; this combination makes the great man.
As I have already remarked, I devoted myself to propaganda in the first period of my activity in the movement.
What it had to do was gradually to fill a small nucleus of men with the new doctrine, and so prepare the material which could later furnish the first elements of an organization.
When a movement harbors the purpose of
tearing down a world and building another in its place,
complete clarity must reign in the ranks of its own leadership with regard to the following principles:
Every movement will first have to sift the human material it wins into two large groups: supporters and members.
The function of propaganda is to attract supporters,
the function of organization to win members.

That is why being the PROVIDERS of widows and the poor, many elders see the GREY HAIRS as dispensible.
Willow Creek considers LIFE MEMBERS complimentarians until they can gladly be instructed and sign a covenant to work under female "elders." On then are the ASSIMILATED members. These cults seek huge numbers of PAYING AUDIENCE to be entertained. However, the INNER CIRCLE of leaders is very small. Looking from the top the Saddleback PATTERN looks like a round Tower of Babel. The Southwest baseball diamond looks like a square Tower of Babylon. The insiders or the agents of the gods are in the inner circle of levels of membership.
Hitler continues to coach the banditos: A supporter (Willow Creek complimentarian) of a movement is one who declares himself to be in agreement with its aims,
a member (Assimilated) is one who fights for them.
The supporter is made amenable to the movement by propaganda.
The member is induced by the organization to participate personally in the recruiting of new supporters, from whom in turn members can be developed.
Since being a supporter requires only a passive recognition of an idea,
while membership demands active advocacy and defense,
- to ten supporters
- there will at most be one or two members.
Rubel Shelly, probably getting nervous, claims authority for LOCATED MISSIONARIES. However, Paul told Timothy to imitate him and "labor to the point of tears." The purpose for the work of Timothy was to exercise CHARITY. The agapae meant that Timothy worked his hands to the bones so that he could sponsor the morning meal for the destitute on their way to find work.
The elders are PROHIBITED from adding to that which has been written. Thomas Campbel denies the elders and deacons to ADD BURDENS to the congregation which create anxiety. Russ is telling everyone that the elders have the duty to DENOUNCE BAPTISM and PROMOTE INSTRUMENTAL which are the key meanings of a PARADIGM SHIFT.
Involve the Membership in Every Step of the Process
Russ Adcox: The most effective form of communication is involvement. If you want your membership to commit to basic principles of the Purpose-Driven model then they must be involved in the development of these principles. In short, if you desire successful implementation,
then you must find creative ways to involve the congregation in every step of the process.
Why is it that the CONGREGATION as the employer not propagandizing the employee (hireling) to carry out the OWNER'S will to "teach the Word as it has been taught"?
This is the same old DOMINION THEOLOGY which decrees that CLERGY is hired by the members to INDUCE them into more PRODUCTIVITY. Again, like the Tower of Babel where people were creatively involved with musical worship teams and sexuality. The musical worship teams, prostitutes, priests and soothsayers EXTRACTED all of the potential from the "members" of the COMMUNE. All of these people are charismatic and actually believe in the Max Lucado / Rubel Shelly polythism of THREE separated persons of the Godhead. Now, only the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts. That is why ACU can train prophets and chanellers. However, this is a brand new heresy: no one who ever believed in the trinity fell so low as to cut them up like a pecan pie. But, betcha that you can fool the fools by making them think that singing and picking a guitar is one of the SUPERNATURAL GIFTS.
Max Lucado: It is our goal. We're asking God to help us extract the potential of every member by matching spiritual gift with ministry. ["ministry" in his sense is the Babylonian pyramid of power (illustrated by Richland Hills). It is the CURSED stepped ministry system God CURSED Israel with when they FIRED God and demanded a human KING or dominant pastor.]
Jesus died to remove the BURDEN of "spiritual anxiety created by religious ritual," created a SCHOOL OF THE BIBLE and imposed NO Judaizing burdens. He died to give the SAME REST as the Sabbath under Moses. This frees people to COOL IT. If they DO NOT then they are imposing a LEGALISTIC WORKS SYSTEM for their own profit and aggrandizement just as David added Warrior singers and musicians to GIVE GLORY TO HIS EARTHLY KINGDOM AND TEMPLE. As they JUDAIZE they are forced by God to, as at Sinai, to PRAY that God send down Holy Fire upon them.<
