David Faust has picked up the absurd notion that God commanded instrumental praise when he permitted or abandoned Israel to form their own nation.  We have done a quick summery of the FALL FROM GRACE because of musical idolatry at Mount Sinai.  All that the false teachers us is derived from a FALLEN NATION doomed--even at Sinai--to return to their old Babylonianism.

These people deliberately lie TO God and ABOUT God.  This gives rise to the ANTI-instrumental term which defines those who remained faithful for 2,000 years as destructive and worthy of destruction.

Note: Thursday 10:52. I have just listened to Ricks SHOUTHING MATCH with Scripture on his proof-text demanding that God not only PERMITTED what he calls INSTRUMENTAL PRAISE but that he COMMANDED it. He uses all of the usual proof text out of context. He uses all of the isolated verses right out of the handbook by any of the music defenders from the CHRISTIAN CHURCH.  He claims that he has read all of the books by those he, like A Ralph Johnson, he tolerates those who prefere "a capella" which is NOT the meaning of Scripture but for the ANTI-instrumental heretics he really gets violent. 

By looking at the ancient literature which defines the culture IN WHICH the Word of God was revealed, we will understand what Jesus, Paul, Jude, John and others understood which the FALSE TEACHERS do not understand. Why, in the name of sanity would John point to the serpent, to Apollyon, to the locusts, to the muses, to the MOTHER OF HARLOTS, to musical performers as SORCERIERS if God did not intend for those with EYES and EARS to look where they pointed.

I can only conclude that, like most "scholars" Rick does not have a remote clue about the flow of the Old Testament. Nay, he does not grasp that the serpent in the Garden of Eden was really a Musical Enchanter.  John identifies the same SERPENT in the book of Revelation as OPHIS (or Sophist) and calls all of the PERFORMERS under the Mother of Harlots (Rev 17) Sorcerers (Rev 18).

He knows nothing of the musical idolatry at Mount Sinai FOR WHICH God slapped them with the LAW and later with kings, kingdom and pagan-like temple because, says Stephen, God turned them over to worship the starry host.  I have never heard anyone list so many passage having people PRAISE God with instruments when he does not grasp that PRAISE or HALAL means to "make a fool of self, or make self vile" which was the way people PRAISED pagan gods or drove the enemy into panic: remember that David was KING and not "worship leader." Halal then is the ROOT meaning of LUCIFER. He does not grasp that Lucifer is called the "singing and harp playing prostitute' in the garden of Eden. He has not read Isaiah and Ezekiel quoted by Jesus to identify the HYPOCRITES as "enchanting" speakers, singers and instrument players. In short, Rick has aligned himself with the LAW which was a CURSE added because of MUSICAL IDOLATRY.

THE PURPOSE DRIVING RICK:

Rick of Richland Hills Church of Christ confesses to lying to himself for 10-12 years before he could OUT his views. According to Lynn Anderson it takes bout 11 years to CONDITION the "frogs" to be able to tolerate singing during the Lord's Supper.  However, I have recorded some Ricky views from 2002--4 years ago--where he claims his AGENDA to unite with the MUSICAL paganism: "

"The Unity Imperative," and he opened with the declaration, 

"I want to see in my lifetime, our fellowship reunited,
and I intend to do all that I can to see that that happens" (p. 1).

The Church of Christ was never UNIONED with the Disciples and the Christian church did not exist for a decade after The Church of Christ refused to be "taken captive" in the Disciples false census.  While some churches met together in the same building after 1932, Alexander Campbell noted the OBSTACLE to any kind of unity in 1824 and about 1845.

Rick proves that what he means is "I want to see the ANTI-instrumental churches fold up and become Christian Churches."

Charles Spurgeon could not find a word low enough to define a "pastor" who would preach with a congregation whose views he did not support. Therefore, Rick has been at it for a decade and has publically told you what he INTENDED TO to.  You may read here for Ricks AGENDA and links to most of the "important" false teachers in the musical group. 

The Disciples tried and failed to grasp the word PSALLO for the first time in 1878. However, those who ignore earlier discussions, like Tome Burgess and all his repeaters, dig up quotes from the ancient texts to prove that psallo demands "playing a harp."  However, the texts all speak of males PLUCKING the harp to seduce a "youth minister" for pederasty. THERE IS NO OTHER MEANING IN HISTORY.

They could have seen that Paul put the "melody" in the place of the human spirit which is the only place God seeks our worship.  Further, the parallel word in Colossians 3 is GRACE.  We might assume that the word psallo never belonged in Ephesians 5 because it is never used to mean melody and Paul guided by the Spirit OF Christ had words which DID include the instrument:

Jesus cast out the musical minstrels 'like dung' and consigned the pipers, singers and dancers to the marketplace FROM WHICH the "psallo rope" drove the slackers to the Ekklesia for verbal instruction only.  That is because all of the singers with instruments were known as parasites.

Now, tell us that the Spirit OF Christ or Paul was so stupid that he did not know HOW to define singing AND playing in the external sense. In the HEART is a place.

I have listened to Rick Atchley's first DEFENSE of the secret decision to impose instrumental music and Sabbath worship.   It is filled with many untruths and the usual changeling-hireling psychological intimidation by making sure that if YOU object then "we" will see you as a legalistic, sectarian, ANTI-instrumental church of Christer.  He and the "Governing Council" have decided that the Holy Spirit wants them to deliberately sow discord. The members must put INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC and SABAZIANISM over family.  Furthermore, the "laity" must not question the NIKES who have clearly taken the church capive.

USING THE JERUSALEM CONFERENCE TO PROVE THAT HIS AND THE ELDERS "GUIDANCE" BY THE HOLY SPIRIT TO TWIST ALL KNOWN SCRIPTURE AND DELIBERATELY SOW DISCORD.

Appealing to the Apostolic right to make decisions but who listened to the Spirit spoken by Jesus Christ and the prophets, is proof that the twisting of all known evidence is a smoke screen to try to defend what they had decided and planned for for a decade. This really goes back to the pseudo Stone-Campbell Movement and the complicity of once-Christian colleges enabling the 'unity meetings' where they preached the same false doctrine and the "scholars" in the universities had no Biblical, historical or linguistic power to refute them.

I have listened to his first "sermon" with pain at the stabbing form of rhetoric and listed some of the ALWAYS lies and distortions of the Bible and Restoration Movement history which along with all of church history repudiated instrumental performers in the FACE of a Holy God is sinful, perverted and promoting effeminacy.  I will discuss all of the first SET-EM-UP sermon but not necessarily in order. Because all of  the EVIDENCE was hatched from viper eggs I want to look at the one instance where Rick stoops to appeal to the Bible.

This is the Jerusalem conference which he, Joe Beam and others claim gives them the authority to hear from the 'holy spirit person' and get authority to CAST OFF Jewish legalism and, at Richland Hills, cast OUT those who are still Bible literate and ethically matured.

This "apostolic authority" claim makes a mockery of perverting the Bible to justify their treachery. He might find that the Jerusalem got its authority from the Word of God and direct commandments from Jesus Christ in a face-to-face revelation.  They should grasp that Miriam is a patternism for anyone who claims revelation from God.

The Jerusalem Conference, in fact, identifies RicK and his team as the LEGALISTS and TRADITIONALISTS who are opposing well-known prophetic revelation by the Spirit OF Christ, the direct teaching of Jesus, the direct command to go to the Nations, His failure to demand circumcision for salvation, Peter's not checking penises before baptism, Peter's revelation and Paul's full-field-press preaching to the Gentiles who were declared NOT ceremonially impure just because they were Gentiles.  All were acceptable to God who "feared God and worked righteousness."

Rick Atchley forces the Levitical Warrior Musicians into the anti-type of the Holy Place when in Jerusalem they would be executed. These NOISE makers were under the KING and COMMANDERS OF THE ARMY. They served--meaning hard bondage--the priests as they sacrificed tens of thousands of types of Jesus Christ and gainingNO assurance.  Because the Law of Moses and the Monarch was God turning Israel over to WORSHIP THE STARRY HOST (Stephen, Acts 7, etc., etc.).  God warned that the kings would DESTROY THEM and one of the curses would be the GOVERING COUNCIL like Ricks, taking the tithe and taking the young boys to make instruments of chariots (musical) to run before the "oriental potentate's" chariot.

Simeon defines the Qahal, synagogue or church in the wildernes where Moses was preached each Sabbath--even among the Gentiles--by READING the Word of God as the Holy Convocation for many first days and all sevent days to REST, read and rehearse the Word of God.  Rick Atchley DISOBEYS that direct approval which is in his PROOF TEXT for that which Simeon has just proven OUTLAWED if anyone need to be made aware.

Circumcision was a NATIONAL sign of for the Israelites ONLY.  The direct command to SPEAK which excludes music was for everyone until Jesus returns because church is NOTHING LIKE what Rick has fabricated. Church as all of the Bible, history and the demands of the Restoration Movement A School of the Bible.  Literates don't need to be told to sit down and shut up when Jesus followed the only PATTERNISM by standing up to READ and then decently sitting down.

There were no new DECISION MADE which gives Rick and the Governing Council authority to radicaly violate the BIBLE, all known church history and the ABSOLUTE LAW against sowing discord and offending people JUST to prove power.

Not even the Jerusalem council had more power than Richland's SECRET meetings. They just had this here impulse, checked their "bible" and sure enough, nothing to contradict their impulse:

There are several LEGALISTIC PATTERNISM the false teachers love to use: one of them is the Jerusalem conference to give the PREACHER (the apostle in the missional church) and the ELDERS the SAME authority the ONLY Apostles and SENIOR MALES all of whom had been chosen by  Jesus or Elders qualified. They were not DECIDING to change old ANTI-instrumental traditionalism but to INFORM those who brought up the DISCORD that Paul (chosen by Christ) was CORRECT.

They knew that because the literates knew that

1. Prophecy showed that Messiah was for ALL NATIONS.
2. The personal DIRECT COMMAND of Jesus proved it.
3. The example of Peter and Paul confirmed that they had been informed.
4. Finally, Jesus did not COMMAND circumcision which was ONLY to the Israelites</font>

Peter laid out the conditions for salvation at Pentecost and it did not include a penis inspection.

Therefore, Atchley is using the examples of the TROUBLERS IN ZION to justify His OWN troubling in Texas. Assuredly, God is good in that He always MARKS FALSE TEACHERS.

When he slanders with the use of ANTI-instrumental churches of Christ is a PLANNED PLOY of the change agents. By identifying any objectors as ANTI-instrumentalists he uses the old INTIMIDATION which they ALL use with no shame. Rick's association between ANTI-instrumentalists and legalistic BACKWARD BLACKS is NOT pretty.  Jack Evans speaks of the new Coonskins movement. I love it.

The churches of Christ along with ALL CHURCH history for most of the time are doing what they are COMMANDED TO do.

Ricky and the elders are the RUMP DISCORDERS.

Rick is using the same mantra I have read many times and I betcha it was COPIED because no honest Bible student could get AUTHORITY to tromp on the members of the church by simply READING.  And I am not sure how He gets by with blaspheming the Spirit of Christ.

I DID hear some outburst but Ricky wants everyone CIVIL and bend over like they tried on Jesus.  He got his Biblical lies from Farmer's Branch and his PSYCHOLOGICAL SET UP from Joe Beam and others:

Joe Beam Etal: "Now James says, 'Let's compare what's happening to the Bible. Let's see if this that's happening is in contradiction to the word or in harmony to the word.' Now, when they look at it they find that what is happening is not in contradiction to the word but is in harmony to the word and they're now trying to make a decision what they should do....

'It is my judgment therefore that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.... Then the apostles and elders with the whole church decided to choose some of their own men and send them back to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. Now, they write a letter ... and in verse 28 they say this in the letter: 'It seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us not to burden you with anything beyond the following requirements ...

This is our judgment.' And when they came together in that judgment, they say it is good to the Holy Spirit.
Now, if you read that, they just ascribed their decision to the Holy Spirit. They gave him the credit for what they decided. (Joe Beam, The Holy Spirit, Nashville Jubilee, 1996, Tape 2).

Now, THAT is what Rick and the Elders have done: they have DECIDED contrary to the Holy Spirit's direct command and CLAIMED that the Holy Spirit GUIDED them into violating DIRECT COMMANDS and going TERMINAL by somewhat boasting about BUSTING UP FAMILES and hurting OLD PEOPLE who know the BIBLE.  I believe that is the REVERS of the BLASPHEM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and I say that it is.

There you have it: you get an impulse to write a book or SOW DISCORD. You check and find that there is no legalistic command which says, "Thou shalt not DELIVERATELY SOW DISCORD and violate DIRECT COMMANDS and ADD." Therefore, "it seems good to me, the SENIOR PASTOR to the Holy Spirit that I can claim direct inspiration to say as as others have said, less SUBTILLY: ''Get OVER it or get OUT."

I think that the Holy Spirit spoke to them (since they were literate) through Leviticus 17 and 18 for Gentiles living among the Israelites. Remember that the prophets were guided by God:

But, we know that the Spirit was not a little fella small enough to fit into Ricky's head: it was the SPIRIT of Christ which HAS SPOKEN in the Old and New Testament: to need a LATTER DAY REVELATION is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit by declaring that Jesus Christ was NOT COMPETENT to ordain the EKKLESIA (school of the Bible) able to be TRANSMORGAFIED into a "theater for unholy entertainment" for the Mother of Harlots in Revelation 18 which defines the speakers, singers and musicians as SORCERERS.

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who PROPHESIED of the grace that should come unto you: 1 Pet 1:10
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 1 Pet 1:11

There is NO decision between ANTI-instrumentalism and MUSICAL SORCERY.  There is NO TRADITIONALISM: the Jews ONLY were commanded to be circumcised and THEREFORE the LEGALISTIC PATTERNISM is a big fat lie.  It is a case of RICK as the TROUBLER and LEGALIST (music IS so defined as WORK) who wants to REVERSE the role.

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. Acts 15:14
And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, Acts 15: 15

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: Acts 15: 16
That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. Acts 15: 17
Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. Acts 15: 18</font>

Now, even Solomon grasped that "God is not worshipped in housed built for human hands." Therefore, the temple was not for worship: in fact the Temple dedication 'music" marked God "going into exile" and removing access to God, the Word and Grace under the Mercy Seat.

Stephen got killed in part for teaching:

God promised David a TABERNACLE or TENT.
But, Solomon built God a HOUSE
But, God does not dwell in houses built by human hands.

What God rebuilt is the Tabernacle of the "spiritual" David which is the church which has no central sanctuary, not sacrifices and by definition no sacrificial noise which is never called music. If you use the sacrificial system as an approach to God you must return to Jerusalem and all of the singers and priests must be out of Levi.  But, the Church of Christ was not founded by one out of Levi and you cannot restore the cursed system of slaughtering innocent "types" of your god.

As for as the Conference is concerned, does any LITERATE person see ANY reason for the Circumcision to NEED a supernatural ACT of the Spirit Person to make decisions the Spirit OF Christ had already made? No. There is NO decision to be made: all we have to do is to tell Ricky and the WORLD that HE and the elders are trying to impose Levitical Warrior Musicians and SACRIFICIAL NOISE which had ratonale ONLY in Canaan, ONLY in Jerusalem, ONLY outside the TEMPLE. And not in the vilest pagan temple could singers and musicians enter into the Holy Places of which the temple was a TYPE of the body or church of Christ.

Simon being Biblically literate got his message from the SPIRIT OF CHRIST when He read and KNEW the prophets and he had heard it directly from Jesus Christ.  The NAME of the "another Comforter" says John is "Jesus Christ the Righteous."  How DARE those John Calvin calls FANATICS claim that they have been GUIDED into FURTHER TRUTH.  This again is PSYCHOLOGICAL INTIMITATION: If you question the elders (meaning the PASTOR) then you are questioning the Holy Spirit and YOU DARE NOT TOUCH GOD'S ANNOINTEDS. Rick has thrown enough LAND MINES in the first PSYCHOLOGICAL SET UP to make it necessary for TRULY BRAVE MEN to TEACH him some bible 101a.

Simeon speaks what GOD had ALREADY revealed and He dare not quesiton the ESTABLISHED FACT:

Wherefore my sentence [judgment] is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: Acts 15: 19

However, Rick Atchley has decided or PASSED JUDGMENT against those who pay his wage.  He had decided that he SHOULD trouble the members EVEN if it breaks up families because THEY must put Rick's decision (wholly) AHEAD of their family.  I think his IRrationale is that the ANTI-instrumentalists are TROUBLING othere by NOT providing an instrumental CHURCH for them to use at the widow's expense.  You do remember that God promises to send STRONG DELUSIONS and that will be through STRONG DELUDERS.

Simeon's JUDGMENT is:

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. Acts 15:20

Now, if Rick can TROUBLE his enablers by adding INSTRUMENTS which are clearly marks of "the idolatry of talent" and troubling to most spirits, why is it that he cannot IMPOSE the worship of idols, defend fornication and drink blood at the Lord's Supper?  What kind of Holy Spirit revelation does Rick think they need to advise the Gentiles against immorality and offending the Jews and most others?

Simeon was an APOSTLE: Rick is not. NO decision about CIRCUMCISION was made by  the Apostles and Elders OF WHICH Rick and the Richland apostles are NOT. The ACT was to PREACH the Word as it had been delivered to them otherwise any ELDER is a WOLF and that is bad.

Those imposed CUSTOMS which were common to most NON-pagans and the Gentiles and especially the Greek World had lived up to much of the Mosaic Moral Law forever.  Why would not this TROUBLE the Gentiles.

Now, HERE is where Ricky has had a hand grenade blow up in his face because Peter calls CORRUPTERS of the Word "those who sell learning at Retail."

Now, HERE is where we have a RESTATEMENT of the DIRECT COMMAND for the Qahal, synagogue or "church in the Wilderness" where blowing instruments and 'making a joyful noise before the Lord' was OUTLAWED.  This were reserved for SPIRITUAL WARFARE to panic the enemy.  

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that PREACH him,
being READ in the synagogues every sabbath day. Acts 15: 21

Tertullian repudiating the trinity of THREE GODS shows why the Israelites and Egyptians knew the same texts:

Now in ancient times the people we call Jews bare the name of Hebrews, and so both their writings and their speech were Hebrew. But that the understanding of their books might not be wanting, this also the Jews supplied to Ptolemy; for they gave him seventy-two interpreters-men whom the philosopher Menedemus, the well-known asserter of a Providence, regarded with respect as sharing in his views.

 RICK has just heard the REAL Apostles tell him and others that churches are FAILING because of PERFORMANCE PREACHERS whom Acts 15 has JUST FIRED as Jesus fired the "doctors of the Law because they take away the key to knowledge. I suggest that if they get a faithful preacher who does EXPOSITORY TEACHING by reading the Word and like Jesus have the UNCOMMON DECENCY TO SIT DOWN, the faithful members will return and pay off the UNLAWFUL and UNGODLY debt.

Now, here is another decision ELDERS can make: they can obey Jesus and refuse to pay anyone who does not GO OUT and deliver the message. Rick missed that one too.  Nothing here about having a grand meeting to deliver the message. Huh?

Jesus promised the APOSTLES ONLY to "guide them into all truth." He did not promise this to RICK or the ELDERS in Texas. The Gentiles are to do GOOD and observe the dietary practices of those in their midst.   Now WHICH ones of these would RICK like to OBSOLETE along with CIRCUMCISON in order to ATTRACT more miscellaneous crowd looking for entertainment.

By learning the INSPIRED TEXT every Sabbath in synagogues, they were GUIDED by the Holy Spirit. This was in contrast to the Pharisees whom Rick seems DETERMINED to lump himself with along with adulterating the Word by "selling ignorance at Retail."  Here is exactly what Rick is preaching without caring whom it offends and defining the PHARISEES:

Strabo Geography 10.3.7

When Paul demanded that the SENIOR MALES lead the assembly he said and WITHOUT WRATH.  Paul to those with eyes and ears was EXCLUDING ORGE or ORGY as WRATH.  John assigns this to the Mother of Harlots (Rev 17) and calls the singers and instrument players SORCERERS  (Rev 18) who HAD deceived the whole world.

In the Babylonian Tablets and Biblical Commentary parallel to The Book of Enoch, GENUN or GENII is the composite of Jubal (who handled instruments without authority), Jabal, Tubal- Cain and Naamah the enchantress.  Because it is said that Cain (from a musical note and a lance) was OF that wicked one, scholars understood that SATAN taught the Cainites the skills to seduce people away from the Living Word and caused the FALLS

Sileni: Greek woodland gods or spirits, closely connected to the satyrs. They were occasionally referred to as being half-man half-horse, in stead of half-man half-goat. The Sileni were portrayed as lechers and drunkards [new winskinners], bald-headed and pot-bellied, with thick lips and stub noses, and with the tails and ears of a horse.
        The flute and lyre are their attributes. [MARKS of the beast: the word beast used by John includes PAN]
The Sileni can often be found in the company of Dionysus. Later mentioned as only one Silenus, the tutor and companion of Dionysus.

THE SATYROI were rustic fertility Daimones (Spirits) of the wilderness and countryside. They were usually associated with the gods Dionysos, Rheia [Zoe], Gaia, Hermes and Hephaistos [Lucifer]; and were said to mate with the Nymphai in the mountains.Satyroi were depicted as animal-like men with the tail of a horse, the ears of an ass, upturned pug noses, reclining hair-lines, and erect members.

As companions of Dionysos, they were depicted draped in animal skins, drinking, dancing, playing tambourines and flutes (the instruments of the Dionysian orgy) and sporting with the Nymphai Bakkhai. They were also frequently shown in vase paintings, dancing around the goddess Gaia (Earth), rising up from the fertile earth. Other closely related Daimones included: the Panes (goat-legged satyroi), and the Seilenoi (elderly satyroi). Child satyrs were known as Satyriskoi.

Dionysus was in fact from Egypt and the rising up to PLAY or SPORT in musical idolatry at Mount Sinai lost them GRACE and they were turned over or abandoned to worship the starry host.

Strabo Geography 10.3.16

Of the rites of Dionysus condemned by Paul in First Corinthians and the wine drinking musical worship in Ephesus proving that INSTRUMENTS are MACHINES for doing hard work to worship the demons.  Remembering that Zeus and Dionysus were part of the Abomination of Desolation in the Temple and that the clergy were more attracted to Dionysus than Jehovah because they were mostly KENITES or CAINITES and not Israelites.

Also resembling these rites are the Cotytian and the Bendideian rites practiced among the Thracians, among whom the Orphic rites had their beginning. Now the Cotys who is worshipped among the Edonians, and also the instruments used in her rites, are mentioned by Aeschylus; for he says,

O adorable Cotys among the Edonians, and ye who hold mountain-ranging instruments;

And he mentions immediately afterwards the attendants of Dionysus: one, holding in his hands the bombyces (reed flute),toilsome work of the turner's chisel, fills full the fingered melody, the call that brings on frenzy, while another causes to resound the bronze-bound cotylae. (cupped cymbals or vases)  "and again, stringed instruments raise their shrill cry, and frightful mimickers from some place unseen bellow like bulls,and the semblance of drums, as of subterranean thunder, rolls along, a terrifying sound.

Note:In connection with this bold use of "semblance" (eikôn) by Aeschylus, note Strabo's studied use of "resembles" (eoike, twice in this paragraph) and "unlikely" (apeikos). Others either translate eikôn "echo," or omit the thought.

The sounding brass (echoing) in First Corinthians thirteen was a Greek military instrument or hollow vase. It is directly related to the Chaldean which is a synonymn for astrologer. It was used like the familiar spirit or "old wineskin" of the witch of Endor to call up a ghost from the subterranean world. By whispering and murmuring into the skin the client heard mysterous sounds which were interpreted as from the gods. At the same time, it was used as a musical instrument or weapon to try to panic the enmy with the noise.

All historical scholars defend the concept of Commands, Examples and Inferences. The church as school of the Bible is defined simply by Paul in Romans 15. To that Jesus instituted, Paul defined and the church practiced the Lord's Supper on the FIRST DAY of the Week.  As the SABBATH was a MARK between the pagan worshipers and the Israelites who RESTED in their homes or local gatherings, the LORD'S DAY is a mark between those who enjoy the REST of Jesus Christ without imposing the WORKS of music which were OUTLAWED even under the Law of Moses.

Well, perhaps the Holy Spirit gave them credit for what He decided. There wasn't a "wee, little person" sitting on their shoulders. Rather, they had the mind of Christ in their mind which Jesus promised to them as His Spiritual presence (Jn 14:18 which you will not find quoted on any book on the Holy Spirit person.)

It SEEMS like the ANTI-instrumentalists have LITERACY on their side after all.  However, once you decide to destroy friendships and families I am certain that the DRIVEN PURPOSE is not a HOLY spirit.

This firest SERMON is filled with many lies and what I see as PSYCHOLOGICALLY VIOLENT warnes that NO ONE should tamper with God's ANNOINTEDS.  Fact is, elders have the authority to "teach that which has been taught" and people OBEY by listening to what THEY (and not preachers) READ and exhort for the BIBLE and 'watch the outcome of their lives.'  This warning has all of the earmarks of a cult and I suspect that MOST are too timid to object.  This is YOUR test: We already KNOW that Jesus ejected the "doctors of the Law" and CAST OUT the musical minstrels LIKE DUNG.
