Even, worse, is that in several cases music and instruments are associated with seeing Ezekiel, God and Jesus as possible sexual partners. This has been a quick response to a newsletter and I find errors often.

Al Maxey: There is an interpretive precept circulating among certain elements within Christendom (and largely among conservative brethren of the American Restoration Movement) that suggests biblical silence is to be regarded as prohibitive in nature.
This is a somewhat radical, and at times fanatical, hermeneutical persuasion that if God said nothing about some doctrine or practice (neither pro nor con) then that doctrine or practice is ipso facto forever excluded, and to go against this so-called "Law of Silence" is to SIN against God and risk one's very salvation
But, Jesus said that the professional but false teachers COULD NOT see or hear the Word. Al cannot HEAR anything about MUSIC and true theologians see it from the garden of Eden to Revelation 18.
Sure, Al, Since God is God and We are Not God then God has always defined HOW we approach Him. If Jesus told us how to find Him in Jerusalem I cannot contemplate a BELIEVER who would seek another route! Eh?
However SILENT Al thinks God is, he has no authority to make up for God's failure to see that MUSIC which is universally recognized to be of Satan has some redeeming value to those like Al who has been trained to accept music.
This "music" in the Restoration Movement was imposed totally based on the LAW OF SILENCE to create musical SECTARIANISM. This was in the face of over 18 centuries of churches which called themselves the church of Christ, rejected music as spirit- destroying and BELIEVED that the Bible SHOUTS against music as a work of the flesh being brought into His presence in the throne room of grace.
However, here is who is replacing LORD JESUS CHRIST as the One and Only Mediator:

A singer or musician who entered into even the earthly throne room would be executed: even if he was cleaning out the garbage.
However, all of church history including the Catholic theological position repudiated the use of MECHANICAL instruments in the worship. As late as 1911 instruments could not be played in the mass for the pope. This is why the CASTRATED A Cappella style was invented specificially for the Sistine chapel.

"The triumphal hymn of Moses had unquestionably a religious character about it; but the employment of music in religious services, though idolatrous, is more distinctly marked in the festivities which attended the erection of the golden calf." (Smith's Bible Dictionary, Music, p. 589).
"And the people celebrated this feast with burnt-offerings and thank-offerings, with eating and drinking, i.e. with sacrificial meals and sports, or with loud rejoicing, shouting, antiphonal songs, and dances, in the same manner in which the Egyptians celebrated their feast of Apis (Herod. 2, 60, and 3, 27)." Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Rom 1:21

The serpent or NACHASH is related to "ringing bell metal" and to musical enchanting. He WHOLLY SEDUCED Eve and Adam went willingly: this was always recognized as SODOMY. The Kabiri were Genii as in Genun:

What awake person cannot see the connection between secular music now CONFISCATED as Contemporary Christian Music (the ultimate oxymoron) and the plague of sexual perversion?
HEARING THE MYSTERIES HIDDEN IN ALL MUSICAL TERMS AND NAMES OF INSTRUMENTS.
Lucifer who was in the garden of Eden came equipped with WIND, STRING and PERCUSSION instruments.
The ORGAN (Pipes) which Jubal HANDLED was WITHOUT AUTHORITY.
In the Babylonian tablets it was INANNA who got Ea the patron god of music drunk and stole the power of the eldership, going through the GATES OF HELL, playing musical instruments and PERVERTED SEXUALITY.
In the Book of Enoch and similar documents God will come with ten thousands of His Saints to judge those who fell for Satan's TRICK of introducing mixed-sex choirs, instrumental music, drinking wine and sexual perversion.
The ORGAN was considered VILE and the players in danger.

- The same hebrew word is used for Play the Flute, Pollute and Prostitute.
- The harp or NEBEL comes from the meaning of NABAL a vile person.
- The TAMBOURINE or Tabret is quite identical to TOPHETH once king Solomon's music grove, where babies were burned to MOLECH to the beat of all kinds of musical instruments.
- The SINGING words are intimately related to the prostitute women or minstrels.
- PLAYING was associated with the Sodomites.
Literate scholars troubled about the UNIVERSAL connection between all MUSICAL TERMS and the NAMES OF ISTRUMENTS had to come up with a solution: they decided that "God saw how successful Satan was with music and DECIDED to adopt it for HIMSELF."
The end time Holy Whore identifed at the time of John as Kirke or Circe who seduced people with music and enchanting songs. The CHURCH adopted her name to SILENCE the Word of God in the ASSEMBLY or SYNAGOGUE. She will again be destroyed along with her MUSIC and MUSICIANS.
Based on the meaning of PSALM or SING Paul defined the FIRST INSTRUMENT OF CHOICE as the human voice and heart. Nor was this MUSICAL: it was reading or chanting the Biblical psalms and not SINGING as defined by Al Maxey's baby boomer (infantile drummer) culture.

God prophesied that in contending for the faith in the time of Jesus:

As Jesus fired the "doctors of the Law" for taking away the key to knowledge, Peter warned preachers or "mediators" for all times that they have no right to change the inspired Words of the Spirit of Christ (1 Pet 1:11) without endangering their own souls and the souls of the church for which Christ died. Private interpretation is really contemporary preaching which does not have understanding the text as its object:

So, we have commands, examples and inferences from God and we have anyone who would assign it to just the interpretation of waring apostles is in trouble.

HEARING FROM DEAF EARS AND BLIND EYES
Al Maxey: For example, there is no direct reference in the New Testament documents to instruments of music aiding or accompanying singing in a corporate worship setting. Therefore, according to this so-called "Law of Silence," the use of instruments is a potentially soul-damning abomination in the sight of God.
I have reviewed the same words from David Faust, Rick Atchley etal. Parables hide truth from those with no need to know. Here is one Mark Henderson missed:
Matt. 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Matt. 11:16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation?
It is like unto [1] children sitting in the [2] markets, and calling unto their fellows,Matt. 11:17 And saying, We have [3] piped unto you, and ye have not [4] danced;
Shouldn't that make any preacher check to see if his ears have been raptured? Music insists on dancing: even Psalms 150.
we have [5] mourned unto you, and ye have not [6] lamented.
Al didn't TAKE the course which taught that the synagogue (Qahal) existed as the "church" in the Wilderness translated as Ekklesia. Nor, did he grasp that the TRIUMPH music and rejoicing was not to be used in the synagogue which was for instructing the pople. He missed the whole Mount Sinai experience and the fact that the LAW which he sees as authority for music was ADDED BECAUSE OF TRANSGRESSION. That transgression being to RISE UP TO PLAY which was musical idolatry.
John Calvin will confirm our thesis that the synagogue was the "church in the wilderness" and that TRIUMPHING OVER which was noisy music and rejoicing was OUTLAWED.
This is confirmed by the fact that the "people's congregation" never worshiped with singing and music.
Al missed that Psalm 41 prophesied that Judas would try to TRIUMPH over Jesus and that the Dead Sea Scrolls clearly defines this is MUSICAL MOCKING. After all, Al, the Levitical sounders were organized under the KING and the COMMANDERS OF THE ARMY. They created the signal and panic music to melt the heart of the enemy. And, didn't Jesus cast out THE MUSICAL WORSHIP TEAM more or less violently to make it certain that the MAGICAL TEAMS did not create LIFE. Al, what about the Babylon Whore in Revelation 18?
HEARING THAT YOU CANNOT SPEAK AND SING AT THE SAME TIME!
If Al was correct it is because there is NOTHING said about SINGING in the music sense in the entire Bible connected to spiritual worship. Rather, READING 101AAA has Paul say:
Romans 15: "Glorify God with ONE VOICE" using "that which is written."
The divisive background in Romans 14 was between Orphic and Dionysiac worship both of which used music which destroyed the teaching and GLORIFIED the always- effeminate performers. There is nothing about external singing or music in Pauls solution in Romans 15.
Ephesians 5: "Speak to one another" and "sing and make melody IN THE HEART."
Colossians 3: "Teach and Admonish" one another with THE INSPIRED TEXT.
they were to FILL up with the Spirit which is the Words of Christ. Then they were to SPEAK or PREACH, TEACH and ADMONISH. These are all SPEAKING ROLES.
It is utterly IMPOSSIBLE to SPEAK and SING at the same time unless you have a forked tongue. Scholars at the time understood that singing was a purely SECULAR practice and EXTERNAL MELODY did not speak of MUSIC. Rather, MELODY speaks to the panic music of warriors or the mind- altering practices of male and female prostitute performers.
How do I know that they did not SING audibly while SPEAKING to TEACH OR PREACH? The Britannica notes:
"The production of musical tones by means of the human voice. It is the oldest form of music making. ... What distinguishes singing from speaking is the manner in which the breath is expended to vibrate the vocal cords.

It is utterly IMPOSSIBLE to SPEAK and SING at the same time. In fact the word SPEAK is the OPPOSITE of poetry or music.
And you CANNOT meditate in your HEART and play an instrument at the same time. Why is that too hard to grasp.
HEARING DAVID'S PATTERN OF SINGING AND MAKING MELODY IN THE HEART.
The Psalmist knew the concept of teaching the Word to others but letting the singing and melody be in the heart and directed to God. I want you to remember that David was one of the KINGS "giving in God's anger and taken away in his anger." They were SECULAR rulers and not MUSICAL WORSHIP MINISTERS.
Paul defined ONLY the inspired Biblical text. The DIRECT COMMAND was to TEACH or PREACH and ADMONISH one another: the command was NOT to SING your own silly erotic praise songs which REPUDIATES God by repudiating the PURPOSE of the Psalms and how the ASSEMBLY (synagogue) MUST teach so that others can SING to God or MAKE MELODY IN THE HEARTS as the worship component.
If you don't do that it MATTERS NOT whether you sing secular praise songs with or without instruments.

For those with eyes, look at how the Psalms were used and how Paul ISSUED A DIRECT COMMANDMENT to teach and admonish one another with the POETIC MATERIAL so that even the "plowman can sing and make melody to God."
"In the songs of Zion, both old and young, men and women, bore a part;
their psalmody was the joint act of the whole assembly in unison."Chrysostom says: "It was the ancient custom, as it is still the custom with us, for all to come together and unitedly join in singing. The young and old, rich and poor, male and female bond and free all join in the song."
Jerome says: "Go where you will, the plowman at his plow sings his joyful hallelujahs, the busy mower regales himself with his psalms, and the vinedresser is singing one of the psalms of David."
HEARING AS LEARNING AND NEVER AS MAKING MUSIC.
You, Al and all of the NEW STYLE WORSHIPERS, are STEALING the role of TEACHING one another.
