Madison Church of Christ Russ Corley Acts 15
Russ Corley at Madison Church of Christ denounces the old "owners" of being like the Jews in Acts 7 demanding that people be circumcised and keep the law of Moses. All "progressive" churches of Christ are built upon the foundation of the Jacob-cursed and God-abandoned Levites: they were to execute any godly Jew who came near the holocause of goats of infants.
The Command of Jesus was to GO into all of the World (Jews and Gentiles) and PREACH what He commanded to be taught in the Prophets and Apostle. That command exists until Jesus returns.
The Strife and Factions are defined in Chapter 14
When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, "The gods have come down to us in human form!" Acts 14:11
Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul they called Hermes (Mercury) because he was the chief speaker. Acts 14:12
The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought bulls and wreaths to the city gates because he and the crowd wanted to offer sacrifices to them. Acts 14:13
First Maccabees and the sexual worship in the temple marked by ZEUS and HERMES.
The tensions which led to the Jewish revolt were exacerbated when the Jewish high priest, a Hellenist himself, offered a sacrifice to Heracles (Hercules) who was a Greek symbol of homosexuality. Riley adds,'The Jewish temple itself became the scene of pagan sacrificial meals and sexual orgies [including homosexuality].' The final insult (for which Antiochus is identified in the Bible as the archtype of the antichrist)'was the installation in the temple of a pagan symbol, possibly a representation of Zeus [Baal], called by a sardonic pun 'the abomination of desolation'' (ibid.:16).
Zeus and Dionysus were worshipped as "the Abomination of Desolation" in the Jerusalem temple. It is a historical fact that the Jews anticipated that the Messiah would be Bacchus of Dionysus--the perverted new wineskin god.

Euripides Ion I am ashamed before the god of many hymns, if he, the sleepless night watcher, shall see the torch procession on the twentieth day, beside the springs with lovely dances, when the starry sky of Zeus also joins in the dance, and the moon dances, and the fifty daughters of Nereus, in the sea and the swirls of ever-flowing rivers, celebrating in their dance the maiden with golden crown and her revered mother;

and preach unto you
that ye should turn from these vanities
unto the living God,
which made heaven, and earth,
and the sea, and all things that are therein: Acts 14:15
Jesus picked Paul and commanded him to be "baptized and wash away thy sins calling on the Name of the Lord." Paul preached nothing which he was not commanded to be taught. Jesus said that Paul had to SEE and HEAR the risen Lord as now Holy Spirit. Paul validates HIS role by GOING:
Acts 14:24 And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
Acts 14:25 And when they had preached the WORD in Perga, they went down into Attalia:

The ekklesia consists of all of the members of The Church of Christ which Jesus had ADDED only after baptism. However, when the isolated people ASSEMBLE THEMSELVES they are called the
sunagō a^, impf. sunēgon, or synagogue which was a WORD OF GOD SCHOOL ONLY.
The absolute command from the Church of Christ (the Rock) in the wilderness and which was affirmed by all of the New Testament and historically-apostolic Churches of Christ was/is:
Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time
hath in every city
them that PREACH him,
being READ in the synagogues every sabbath [REST] day.
Acts 14:28 And there they abode long time with the disciples.
Only those who obey and are baptized are called DISCIPLES: only disciples are called CHRISTIANS and disciples attend SCHOOL OF THE WORD as the ANTITHESIS of worship asssemblies.

Russ Corley following the PATTERNS of those willing to confiscate your property calls those who are defined by Jesus as a LITTLE FLOCK or the SECT that is called the WAY or Road or Pattern Scribes and Pharisees. Jesus called the Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites: in Ezekiel 33 and Isaiah 29 the hypocrites from whom God HIDES are speakers for HIRE, singers and instrument players.
Acts 15:1 And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren,
and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.
A Church of Christ is built upon or Educated by the Prophets (by Christ) and the Apostles (prophecies fulfilled and recorded) and not, as the PROGRESSIVES on the Jacob-cursed and God-abandoned LEVITES. Their instruments were to perform as soothsayers or sorcerers or exorcists during animal slaughter God did not command.

However, the Jews and Preachers for Hire denying the LOGOS or Regulative principle are destructive because.

Acts 15:21 For Moses of old timeRuss Corley insists that God Commanded the use of Musical Instruments used to silence Jesus. Rus Corley insists that UNLESS you "get over it or get out" you CANNOT and WILL NOT be allowed to teach even though we will fellowship you with the unauthorized tithes and offerings.

Faithful Churches of Christ dissent and dispute and APPEAL to the Spirit OF Christ to prove that nothing in the PATTERNIST JEWISH MONARCHY changes the Covenant God in Christ made to Abraham.
Acts 15:2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas
had no small dissension and disputation with them,
they determined that Paul and Barnabas,
and certain other of them,
should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

Paul authorizes the threshing oxen to nibble grain WHILE he is threshing for hire. However, Russ Corley and the progressives merit support when they are ON THEIR WAY..
Acts 15:3 And being brought on their way by the church,
they passed through Phenice and Samaria,
declaring the conversion of the Gentiles:
and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.
Conversion is parallel to being baptized:

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them,Ana-psuxis , eōs, hē, A. cooling, Posidon.72; exposure, “helkeos” Hp. Fract.25.

The word EIS can never be translated as "because of" in any Greek text. Foreknowing that those that "believeth not" or the Apistos will be traitors and revolt against, Luke puts it in another form:

SCRIBES AND PHARISEES ARE CALLED HYPOCRITES BY JESUS
The Prototype of Babylon-Tyre Israel. Sodom not spiritual Israel. Jesus referenced Isaiah and Ezekiel to define the national Worship of the Starry Host--Abaddon The End-Time Fulfillment For thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people. Ezek 26:7
They will plunder your wealth and
loot your merchandise;
they will break down your walls
and demolish your fine houses
and throw your stones, TIMBER and rubble into the sea. Ezek 26:12
Also, thou son of man, the children of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls and in the doors of the houses,
and speak one to another, every one to his brother, saying,
Come, I pray you, and hear what is the word that cometh forth from the Lord. Eze 33:30
Rev 17:3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
I will put an end to your noisy songs, and the music [sound] of your harps will be heard no more. Ezek 26:13
The LXX is more forceful in showing that both the music and the musicians would be silenced---
"And he shall destroy the multitude of thy musicians, and the sound of thy psalteries shall be heard no more." Ezek. 26:13 LXX
My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words,
but they do not put them into practice.
With their mouths they express devotion (Lord, Lord as amorousness - inordinate love),
but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain (commerce or trade or attendance). Eze 33:31
Rev 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; Rev 18:22
then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit,to the people of long ago
I will make you dwell in the earth below,
as in ancient ruins, with those who go down to the PIT,and you will not return or take your place in the land of the living. Ezek 26:20
Isaiah 14:11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms [maggots] cover thee.
Amos 5:23 Take thou away from me the noise [tŭmultus] of thy songs [carmen] for I will not hear the melody [cantĭcum] of thy viols
Indeed, to them you are NOTHING MORE
than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice
and [NOTHING MORE than one who]
plays (make melody on) an instrument well,
for they hear your words
but do not put them into practice. Eze 33
Rev 18:23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee;
and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee:
for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries WERE all nations deceived.
I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more:
though thou be sought for,
yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord God. Ezek 26:2
When all of this this comes true--
and it surely will--
then they will know that a prophet has been among them." Eze 33:33
Revelation 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
Acts 15:6 ¶ And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

Acts 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Acts 15:13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

Acts 15:15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
Acts 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
Acts 15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
Acts 15:18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.
Acts 15:19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
Acts 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.
Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
Acts 15:22 ¶ Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:
Acts 15:23 And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
Acts 15:24 Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:
Acts 15:25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,
Acts 15:26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
Acts 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Acts 15:30 So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:
Acts 15:31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.
Acts 15:32 And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.
Acts 15:33 And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.
Acts 15:34 Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.
Acts 15:35 Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.
