Anti-Biblical Theology hatched by Thomas Olbecht: Stone-Campbell is a lie
"The Maccabaean spirit of the Jews never burned more furiously than after the destruction of Jerusalem, and while it was kindling the conflagration that broke out under Barchochebas, and blazed so terribly in the insurrection against Hadrian. It is not credible that the Jewish Christians at Alexandria and elsewhere were able to emancipate themselves from their national spirit; and accordingly the old Judaizing, which St. Paul had anathematized and confuted, would assert itself again. If such was the occasion of this Epistle, as I venture to suppose, a higher character must be ascribed to it than could otherwise be claimed. This accounts, also, for the degree of favour with which it was accepted by the primitive faithful.
John wrote his "gospel" very late: it is obvious that it was to correct the 'Synagogue of Satan' where the Jews bonded with the Greeks. They refused and REFUSED to believe that Jeus came IN THE FLESH. STANGLINS co-thelogians say that GOD CAME IN THE FLESH. Theophilus and Tertullian also wrote to debunk the Always-Pagan trinity. Messianic Jews like Joseph Shulam is popular and supported by North Boulevard Church of Christ and by Lipscomb and other once-Christian universities.
Most denominations and ost of the students studying theology and not much Bible will never get over this sermon.
Most "worshiping centers" need the LAW to justify a clergy and especially what they call "Instrumental Worship." There is nothing about musical instruments in The Law and in the Laws of the Monarchy and all of the Old Testament no one is said to use instruments or singing AS worship. Perhaps as a prayer, Calling Down God's Holy Fire may be working.
It is interesting as a specimen of their conflicts with a persistent Judaism which St. Paul had defeated and anathematized, but which was ever cropping out among believers originally of the Hebrews. Their own habits of allegorizing, and their Oriental tastes, must be borne in mind, if we are readily disgusted with our author's fancies and refinements. St.Paul himself pays a practical tribute to their modes of thought, in his Epistle to the Galatians 4: 24.
Keith Stanglin thinks that Paul just "interpreted" this because he says that there is nothing in Scripture to justify his and Jesus' making up stuff.
Gal. 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
Gal. 4:22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons,
the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
Gal. 4:23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh;
but he of the freewoman was by promise.
Gal. 4:24 Which things are an allegory:
for these are the two covenants;
the one from the Mount Sinai,
which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.
Gal. 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia,
and answereth to Jerusalem which now is,
and is in bondage with her children.
Gal. 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.Gen. 25:12 Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son,Paul was a STUDENT of Scripture and he probably knew enough not to, in the Words of Stanglin and friends CO-create Scripture.
whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s handmaid, bare unto Abraham
Gen. 25:22 And the children struggled together within her;
and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
Gen. 25:23 And the LORD said unto her,
Two nations are in thy womb,
and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels;
and the one people shall be stronger than the other people;
and the elder shall serve the younger.
Gen. 25:24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled,
behold, there were twins in her womb.
Gen. 25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me,
I pray thee, with that same red pottage;
for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
Gen. 36:9 And these are the generations of Esau
the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
Gen. 27:41 And Esau hated Jacob because
of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart,
The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.
Mal. 1:2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say,
Wherein hast thou loved us?
Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
Mal. 1:3 And I hated Esau,
and laid his mountains and his heritage
waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
Keith Stanglin uses Barnabas' allegorizing the circumcising under Abraham and uses that as a example to justify POSTMODERN preachers who do the same thing. Barnabas made his spiritual circumcisioon as the true meaning of the literal. He must have read the Scriptures. Theologians are POST Scripture. Stanglin Should read Barnabas and not peer theologians.
Keith Stanglin: p.7 This experience reflects Just the sort of thing that many readers of PREMODERN biblical interperting and therefore discouraging.
To be fair, however these same readers, if they also read the New Testament with care,
must acknowledge that what Barnabas has done
is not all that foreign to early Christian handling of the Old Testament.
FIRST BARNABAS: A holy spirit
Chapter V.-The NEW COVENANT Founded on the Sufferings of Christ, Tends to Our Salvation, But to the Jews' Destruction. For to this end the Lord endured to deliver up His flesh to corruption, that we might be sanctified through the remission of sins, which is effected by His blood of sprinkling.
For it is written concerning Him, partly with reference to Israel, and partly to us; and [the Scripture] saith thus: "He was wounded for our transgressions, and braised for our iniquities: with His stripes we are healed. He was brought as a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb which is dumb before its shearer." Therefore we ought to be deeply grateful to the Lord, because He has both made known to us things that are past, and hath given us wisdom concerning things present, and hath not left us without understanding in regard to things which are to come. Now, the Scripture saith, "Not unjustly are nets spread out for birds." This means that the man perishes justly, who, having a knowledge of the way of righteousness, rushes off into the way of darkness.Since, therefore, having renewed us by the remission of our sins,
He hath made us after another pattern,
[it is His purpose] that we should possess the soul of children,
inasmuch as He has created us Anew by His Spirit.
For the Lord hath made known to us BY THE PROPHETs both the things which are past and present, giving us also the first-fruits of the knowledge of things to come, which things as we see accomplished, one by one, we ought with the greater richness of faith and elevation of spirit to draw near to Him with reverence. I then, not as your teacher, but as one of yourselves, will set forth a few things by which in present circumstances ye may be rendered the more joyful.STANGLIN DENIES:
1Pet. 1:8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not,
yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
1Pet. 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
1Pet. 1:10 Of which salvation the PROPHETS have enquired and searched diligently,
who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
1Pet. 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time
the Spirit of Christ [SPIRIT means God put His WORD into the MOUTH of JESUS]
which was in them did signify,
when it TESTIFIED beforehand the sufferings of Christ,
and the glory that should follow.
1Pet. 1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves,
but unto us they did minister the things,
which are now reported unto you by them
that have PREACHED the gospel unto you
with the Holy SPIRIT sent down from heaven;
which things the angels desire to look into.
Rev. 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write,
Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.
And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Rev. 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not:
I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren
that have the TESTIMONY of Jesus: worship God:
for the TESTIMONY of Jesus is the SPIRIT of prophecy.
The Glorified Jesus was given the promise or ROLE in the state OF Holy Spirit.
John 6:62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you,
they are SPIRIT, and they are life.
John 6:64 But there are some of you that believe not.
For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were
that believed not, and who should betray him.
Those who do believe (comply) by being baptized shall be saved.
believed nots are Traitors, of this world, Kosmos, Ecumenical, Kingdom of the Devil.
our learning. The Church is defined inclusively and exclusively by the Prophets.
Without obeying the PATTERN and COMMAND of Jesus they have not and need not A holy Spirit or A good conscience. Without this new conscience or CONSCIOUSNESS it is impossible to be a CO-UNDERSTANDER.
Keith Stanglin is troubled over his lack of reading to DEBUNK Scripture
For [the Scripture] saith, "And Abraham circumcised ten, and eight, and three hundred men of his household." 126 What, then, was the knowledge given to him in this? Learn the EIGHTEEN FIRST, and then THE THREE HUNDRED. 127 The ten and the eight are thus denoted-Ten by I, and Eight by H. 128 You have [the initials of the, name of] Jesus. And because 129 the cross was to express the grace [of our redemption] by the letter T, he says also, "Three Hundred."MAYBE BARNABAS HAD A. DEGREE IN THEOLOGY WHICH DEMANDS PRIVATE INTERPRETATION OR FURTHER EXPOUNDING. PETER SAYS THAT THIS REPUDIATES THE HOLY SPIRIT
He signifies, therefore, Jesus by two letters, and the cross by one. He knows this, who has put within us the engrafted 130 gift of His doctrine. No one has been admitted by me to a more excellent piece of knowledge 131 than this, but I know that ye are worthy.

Self-Authored Sermons for SALE are "justified" by the claim of powers superior to the Delivered Text
Barnabas etal prove that nothing in the NOT-COMMANDED sacrificial system is a PATTERN for the School of Christ built upon or EDUCATED by the Prophets and Apostles.
"Barnabas: Chapter II.-The Jewish Sacrifices are Now Abolished.
Since, therefore, the days are evil, and Satan possesses the power of this world,
we ought to give heed to ourselves, and diligently inquire into the ordinances of the Lord.
Fear and patience, then, are helpers of our faith; and long-suffering and continence are things which fight on our side. While these remain pure in what respects the Lord, Wisdom, Understanding, Science, and Knowledge rejoice along with them. 14
AND there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: Isa 11:1
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit OF wisdom and understanding, the spirit OF counsel and might, the spirit OF knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; Isa 11: 2
And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: Isa 11: 3
But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth:
and he shall smite the earth
with the rod of his mouth,
and with the breath of his lips
shall he slay the wicked. Isa 11: 4
"For He hath revealed to us by all the PROPHETS that He needs neither sacrifices, nor burnt-offerings, nor oblations, saying thus,
"What is the multitude of your sacrifices unto Me, saith the Lord? I am full of burnt-offerings, and desire not the fat of lambs, and the blood of bulls and goats, not when ye come to appear before Me:
for who hath required these things at your hands?
Tread no more My courts, not though ye bring with you fine flour. Incense is a vain abomination unto Me, and your new moonsand sabbaths I cannot endure." 15
Hear the word of the Lord, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. Isaiah 1:10
To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. Isaiah 1:11
When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Isaiah 1:12
Bring no more vain oblations; incenseis an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Isaiah 1:13
Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. Isaiah 1:14
He has therefore abolished these things, that the new law of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is without the yoke of necessity, might have a human oblation. 16
16 Thus in the Latin. The Greek reads, "might not have a man-made oblation." The Latin text seems preferable, implying that, instead of the outward sacrifices of the law,
there is now required a dedication of man himself.
Hilgenfeld follows the Greek.
"And again He says to them, "Did I command your fathers, when they went out from the land of Egypt, to offer unto Me burnt-offerings and sacrifices?
But this rather I commanded them, Let no one of you cherish any evil in his heart against his neighbour, and love not an oath of falsehood." 17
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. Jer 7:21
For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: Jer 7:22
But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. Jer 7:23
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. Jer 7:24
Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day, I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them: Jer 7:25
Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers. Jer 7:26

To us, then, He declares, "A sacrifice [pleasing] to God is a broken spirit;
a smell of sweet savour to the Lord is a heart that glorifieth Him that made it." 19 We ought therefore, brethren, carefully to inquire concerning our salvation, lest the wicked one, having made his entrance by deceit, should hurl 20 us forth from
