Apologetics Press: New Bible Reflections seems to think that there three true gods or three-in one.  Only recently have once-faithful Churches of Christ slide into the prophesied revival of the Babylon Mother of Harlots. Her fruitish priests are any religious craftsmen, speakers, singers, instrument players.

Eric Lyons: The Bible is full of scriptures that, when quoted without any consideration of the immediate and remote contexts, a person can misuse in all sorts of ways. As proof that we do not have to work to provide for our family’s material needs, some may quote Jesus’ statement,

That's true: the very recent denial that the Man Jesus Whom God anointed as CHRIST came in the FLESH uses isolated proof texts apparently unable to read context. Personal opinions or church creeds silence the Word or Regulative Principle.

“Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life” (John 6:27).


John 5:26 For as the Father HATH LIFE IN HIMSELF

It is not possible for a Christian, Disciple or Student of Christ to understand Jesus saying that the WORD as God's Regulative and Creating power is the only Manna.  And yet, close to no one obeys the pattern to PREACH the Word by READING the Word in the weekly School of Christ.
John 6:62 What and if ye shall see the SON OF MAN ascend up where he was before?
John 6:63 It is the SPIRIT that quickeneth;  [Gives Life]
        the flesh profiteth nothing:
        the WORDS that I speak unto you,
        they are
SPIRIT, and they are LIFE.

I know people who SEE "Son of Man" and SEE "the one true God." Jesus said that God HIDES from the Wise or Sophists: those who speak their own words, sing or play instruments or anything beyond READ or SPEAK that which is written for our learning..

Eric Lyons: Consider another proof text from the Gospel of John regarding the nature of Christ. Some (e.g., Jehovah’s Witnesses) contend that Jesus was not deity since, on one occasion, He prayed to the Father: “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” (John 17:3;

Before looking at John 17: Rather than predjuice the readers it will help to just obey the command and "teach that which has been taught" with no human opinions.

Moses said that Messiah would be ANOTHER PROPHET LIKE ME from "among his brethren.. Jesus called those who claimed that "He makes Himself God" are blasphemers.

God IMAGED or FORMA Christ as a singular MAN.  This is to refute the always pagan father, mother (spirit) and son.  

Jesus of Nazareth was the Seed of David IN THE FLESH. He was first defined as the Son of. God when He was SANCTIFIED and SENT at His Baptism.

Jesus in His STATE of Holy Spirit is not ignorant, as loudly declared: He didn't REALLY mean to say "Because He IS God."

Paul wants BOTH male and female to be silent so that the assembly "might be SAFE and come to a knowledge of the Truth" or the WORD which is the One-Piece pattern.  Women and effeminate males who could engage in wrath or ORGY of what Paul called "madness" believed and SOLD the idea that. THEY were the Authoritative Teacher or MEDIATOR in Song and Sermon.  If you feel the need to make the Word intelligible then you will not be able to confess that:

        the MAN Christ Jesus;

John 17:1These words spake Jesus,
        and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said,
        FATHER, the hour is come;
        glorify thy SON, THAT thy Son also may glorify thee:

The ONE Eternal God gave Jesus of Nazareth, the son of man and therefore MAN. The SEED of David means the SPERM: God can preserve or simply SPEAK the WORD which is the SEED of the Kingdom.

John 17:1 These words spake Jesus,
        and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father,
        the hour is come;

God gave Jesus, to fulfill prophecy and His will, the power of EVERLASTING or ETERNAL life.  That is BECAUSE Jesus was NOT God but the Son of MAN.

John 17:2 As THOU hast given HIM power over all flesh,
         that he should GIVE ETERNAL LIFE
         to as MANY as thou hast GIVEN HIM

Jesus was sent for Lost Spirits: the Elect was a small Remnant of Israel and Gentiles whom He would CALL. Those who Believeth Not will be damned because they are OF the World for which Jesus wouldn't pray.

John 17:3 And this is life eternal,
        that they might know thee
        the only TRUE God,
        AND Jesus Christ,
        whom thou hast sent.

Jesus the MAN was sanctified and SENT when He was 30 years years old andd was BAPTIZED.

Eric Lyons: "Allegedly, by calling the Father, “the only true God,” Jesus excluded Himself from being deity.

Such an interpretation of John 17:3, however, contradicts numerous other passages within John’s gospel account.

It may be IMPOSSIBLE for those OF the World and promote "kingdoms that come with observation meaning Religious observations beyond School of Christ" to read the CONTEXT which has settle the issue.

From beginning to end, John bore witness to the deity of Christ.

No, from beginning to the end in John 1:1, John denied that Jesus was GOD.  The Word is the Logos or what God SPEAKS to include and exclude the one-piece pattern for the Assembly of Christ.  The Word which means w.o.r.d.s. was made visible and audible when Jesus or anyone SPEAKS the Word.

Some of the evidence from the Gospel of John includes the following:

Eric Lyons: Two verses later the reader learns that “[a]ll things came into being by Him [the Word], and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being” (John 1:3, NASB).
John 1:3 All things were made [ginomai, fulfilled] by him;
        and without him was not any thing made that was made.

This is not the WORLD which was destroyed by water. This alerts us to the fact that Genesis is not speaking of MATERIAL thins but the World, Kosmos, the Ecumenical or the kingdom of the Devil.

2Pet. 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of,
        that by the WORD of God the heavens were of old,
        and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
2Pet. 3:6 Whereby the WORLD that then was,
        being overflowed with water, perished:
2Pet. 3:7 But the heavens and the earth,
        which are now, by the same WORD are kept in store,
        reserved unto fire
        against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

This last day or Aion age is not to save everyone and make them layers by in stores but, the Locusts or Muses job is to driven the tiny flock into Safe Houses while God collects all of the Spirits who had ONCE destroyed the world. They are SORCERERS including singers and instrument players or any speaker who "goes beyond that which is wwritten.

The material matrix remains
entire and unimpaired,

so, too, that which has come forth out of God
is at once God and the Son of God

This ray of God, then, as it was always foretold in ancient times, descending into a certain virgin, and made FLESH in her womb, in His birth God and man united.
Campbell, Thomax, Trinity The relationship of Word to God was the same as the relationship of a word to a thought.

And so this is the most common understanding among the church fathers. The the word is the SON of the speaker as FATHER then there is ot problem trying to sort out how a LITERAL son of god could be equal with the Father or of the same age.

1st. A WORD is a sign or representative of a thought or an idea
and is the idea in an
audible or visible form.
It is the exact image of that invisible thought 
which is a perfect
secret to all the world until it is expressed.

2d. All men think or form ideas by means of words or images; so that no man can think without words or symbols of some sort.

3d. Hence it follows that the word and the idea which it represents, 
co-etaneous, or of the same age or antiquity.
It is true the word may not be uttered or born 
        for years or ages after the idea exists,
........but still the word is just as old as the idea.

4th. The idea and the word are nevertheless distinct from each other, though the relation between them is the nearest known on earth.
........An idea cannot exist without a word
        nor a word without an idea.

5th. He that is acquainted with the WORD, is acquainted with the
        for the idea is
wholly in the word.

By putting together the above remarks on the term word, 
we have a full view of what John intended to communicate.

As a word is an exact IMAGE of an IDEA,
so is "The WORD" an exact image of the invisible God.

As a WORD cannot exist without an idea, nor an idea without a word,
God never was without "The Word," 
        nor "The Word" without God;

or as a word is of equal age, or co-etaneous with its idea,
        so "
The Word" and God are co-eternal.

And as an idea does not create its word nor a word its idea; so God did not create "The Word," nor the "Word" God.

With the exception of a tiny fraction of "churches"--which I don't know of--the prophesied c. AD 2000 assault against God and Scriipture has replaced the SKHOLE or SYNAGOGUE with "Worship Centers" with -- they think -- are professional grade musical and theatrical performers.  Rubel Shelly along with the locals said it most vocally that the only purpose of "church" is to WORSHIP or a pagan-like "naval" to funnel up PRAISE.

John is recording the events He understood several decades later and BECAUSE of the Synagogue of Satan which claimed that Jesus was NOT a man but was GOD.  They still refuse to believe that Jesus was a man.  Others wrote to correct the false doctrine.

John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father:

        I ascend unto MY Father, and your Father; and to
MY God, and YOUR God.

Thomas was not OF FAITH and was never given this promise of HIS SPIRIT which produces WORDS of TRUTH.

John 20:25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them,
        Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails,
        and put my finger into the print of the nails,
        and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
John 20:26 ¶ And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas,
        Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: a
        nd be not faithless, but believing.
John 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Thomas was rebuked and not declared blessed.

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas,
        because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed:
        BLESSED are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

God or Lord names are always generic. The One True God is defined by HIS actions.

John 20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
Eric Lyons: Thus, by refusing to answer Thomas, Jesus was claiming to be God.

JOHN CONTRADICTED THOMAS.  Jesus is not there to tell us what He thought.

John 20:31 But these are written,
        that ye might believe that
        the Son of God;
        and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Eric Lyons: Furthermore, if Jesus’ reference to the Father being “the only true God” somehow excludes Jesus from being deity, then (to be consistent) Jesus also must be disqualified from being man’s Savior. Jehovah said: “Besides me there is no savior” (Isaiah 43:11; cf. Hosea 13:4; Jude 25).

That was a long time before Jesus was ordained TO BE Messiah and Saviour of His Lambs whom the Father had given to him. These were lost spirits, pilgrims and sojourners IN the World but not OF THE WORLD, the Ecumenical or the kingdom of the Devil FIGHTING the kingdom of Christ which does not come with observation meaning RELIGIOUS OBSERVATIONS performed by a clergy.

Jesus was ordained by God to be the Saviour of the Body or Church which did not exist when the Prophets wrote.

Acts 13:23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise
        raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

Eph. 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife,
        even as Christ is the head of the church:
        and he is the saviour of the body.

 God still has the power to forgive sins.

Phil. 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
1Tim. 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

Eric Lyons:  Yet, Paul and Peter referred to Jesus as our “Savior” several times in their inspired writings (Ephesians 5:23; Philippians 3:20; 2 Timothy 1:10; 2 Peter 1:1,11; 2:20; etc.). Also, if Jesus is excluded from Godhood (based on a misinterpretation of John 17:3), then, pray tell, must God the Father be excluded from being man’s Lord? T

To the church at Ephesus, Paul wrote that there is “one Lord” (4:4, emp. added),

Eph. 4:4 There is one BODY, and one SPIRIT, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Eph. 4:5 One LORD, [Kurios] one faith, one baptism,

Matt. 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said,
         I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
        because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent,
        and hast revealed them unto babes.

Wise or Sophists are speakers, singers or instrument players.

Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice,
        he said, Father, into thy hands I commend MY spirit:
        and having said thus, he gave up the Spirit.

Eccl. 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:
        and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it

After the first account of "creation" ELOHIM or gods gives way to LORD-GOD.  Jesus is also LORD of His kingdom the Church.

Eric Lyons:  Obviously, when the Bible reveals that there is only one God, one Savior, one Lord, one Creator (Isaiah 44:24; John 1:3), etc., reason and revelation demand that we understand the inspired writers
        to be excluding everyone and everything—
        other than the members of the Godhead.

This is what all preachers with no role and no dole SEE

The WORLD Jesus created is spiritual and not the 2 trillion galaxies.


Colossians 2:9 [9] quia in ipso inhabitat omnis plenitudo divinitatis corporaliter

Jesus in His STATE of Holy Spirit is not ignorant as loudly declared: He didn't REALLY mean to say "Because He IS God."
